Sure but I'm more along the lines of an EU and UN intervention, since the U.S. essentially funds the collective defense of those countries, a diversion in funding would be a significant issue.

lol honestly tbh i kinda want the dems to lose based on one thing - the looting and destruction of other peoples property. i have very few convictions but one thing that I do firmly believe in is the rule of law and order. with the absence of l/o that's when people suffer unnecessarily.

saw a vid of protestors who looted a black owned business and they filmed the owner saying hey why did you destroy my business, you guys should be destroying other businesses not mine im black (absolutely shocking). other vids of people blocking freeways and vandalizing peoples cars and other detestable things like that. you don't do that. this isnt the 1900s, there's no revolution coming, you aren't going to seize the means of production, the dems and pubs will crush an actual insurrection.

if the dems win that kind of legitimizes that behavior which is unacceptable

i do believe that black lives matter, that the police should be required to do more training to minimize the amount of incidents that they've been having, and that black people are disadvantaged in various ways etc

however the solution is a political and economic one - actual regulations have to be passed, money has to be provided to the PDs (not defunded like wtf), need to improve our shit education system so its not 50 students to 1 teacher who makes 30k a year, etc so that blacks can begin getting out of that cycle.

but when you have people acting like animals out in the streets and terrorizing others, they have thrown away the political capital that the George floyd killing gave them because i highly doubt any meaningful legislation that will affect change in the things i talked about will be passed as a result. i haven't voted in a long time but i might consider coming out to vote no on anything that legitimizes terrorism

Hmmm yeah I can definitely get behind demilitarization to some degree, police in some euro countries don't have firearms and they're doing just fine, but then again those same euro countries don't have nearly the amount of guns in circulation that we do - it would put the police here at a disadvantage, especially given the current climate. I think increased training in de escalation tactics and when to use deadly force should be the first step

But to simply say that when taxes go up that the police budget goes up is disingenuous lol i hope that makes sense

This guy was a Pinkerton contracted by the local news to be security for their employees that cover the rallies. Soon we'll find out what circumstances led to the violence. No one asked you to jump to conclusions.

If by these guys you mean a professional security guard protecting a journalist shot him.... Ya sure. Couldn't be sure what he had under his vest... He feared for his life.

Maybe this guy reads Karl Marx on his breaks, or maybe he listens to Rush Limbaugh in the car. An investigation will show if this is a justified shooting or not. Colorado has a stand your ground law, so that should muddy up those waters real nice for a jury.
