So question: I know that it's probably a long shot given the pandemic but, if there is a federal pay raise that only moves the band correct? So if I am in the middle of a developmental band I'm SOL?

You get the raise. But then it kinda gets washed out when you get the next big developmental raise

Damn you're right....! Okay new question: if Trump had handled this pandemic "correctly" what would that have actually looked like? Lots of dems bashing the big orange without saying what he should have done. Follow on question. If he'd shut down the country earlier and we had close to no deaths but a tanked economy wouldn't the dems then just say he cried wolf? Lose lose from the demplainers out there.

Mass testing. Enforce masks once it was found out to really help. Remember he didn’t say to wear a mask till late July and even since then he doesn’t care about masks. It’s clear we don’t need to shut the entire country down for this virus. But we need to prevent spread as Much as possible so our healthcare system doesn’t collapse. The man was briefed on it since December and didn’t do anything about it until it was already heavily integrated into the US population. There’s much more but his inaction about it for so long was a huge misfire.

I dunno, coulda used that pandemic playbook he decided to trash and get rid of the scientists and officials who planned it because obummer bad.

Coulda have had a plan for the lockdown, and a solid set of goals to meet area by area to open things back up, instead of what we did was no plan.

Coulda have actually done something for the American public instead of giving random amounts of money to random businesses and leaving the citizenry with some bs half measures thay didn't get renewed when needed most.

Could have leaned on his experts instead of trashing them because the disagree with the my pillow guy.

Coulda lead by example and wore a mask instead of FREE MICHIGAN!

I could go on, but you get the point.

Trump would never make everyone happy and the way the government is set up in this country limits his ability to handle covid on a local level but if he hadn’t fired his pandemic response team and not ignored the experts he had left we’d probably be in a better place. Even Today he pretends like it’s a nonissue when around a thousand people are dying a day. People are looking for leadership in this and he’s completely abdicated his responsibilities.
