The constitution was a great idea that was poorly executed. Amending it is nearly impossible so it just sits and collects dust and then we try to twist it into a shape that works for a modern world and it fucking sucks at it.

I'm not saying that process is perfect, but I don't honestly think having a founding document that spells out the basic principles of your goverment should be able to be changed on a whim.

Yes, 100 percent there's absolutely changes I'd like made. But changing for evolving times vs changing based on who is currently in charge is what I'd be afraid of if we made it easier to make amendments.
