Is anyone writing novels about if a shutdown will or won't happen willing to put some money in escrow or is this just the atc stereotype of wild speculations rearing its head again

Someone on here randomly said natca and the union met for a shutdown mou, I think this thread. So they think there's a high chance. (If the meeting actually happened. I'm dropping out of the union if it says medically dq etc. will require sick leave instead of furlough)

next is the political stuff-kinda quiet. I think people having strokes and coronavirus 2 are running the cycle.

Might be time to switch to g on the Friday before the shutdown or who knows

All I remember is the shutdown / furloughs in 2013, I went to the G and it was the wrong move. Nothing changed radically. At least that’s my recollection.

Let it ride is my new strategy, and if it goes bad I guess the wife will have to keep working.

Yeah overall the article says it ends up being .01% green you'd have to be out the day the shutdown starts and buy in (before noon) the day of the announcement to make anything extra. Too risqué for me

When McCarthy chased after the Speaker position, he had to cut a deal with the real, real, real wacky fringe of his party (House Freedom Caucus) to secure their votes for him after 12+ rounds of voting. One of the biggest things he gifted them so he could hold the gavel was the ability for a single member to be able to make a motion to vacate him from his position.

If he does anything the HFC disagrees with, it is likely they'll move to oust him; that includes any kind of Continuing Resolution that would require democrat's support to pass. I'm not saying it's guaranteed, but a shutdown at the end of this month has the highest probability we've seen since the last shutdown.

Whatever HFC wants to make the shutdown about will likely depend upon whatever complaints the HFC members want to pull from their asses; unknown at this time if they'll have a unified front on their messaging, but the lead up so far has just been them bitching about all non-military discretionary spending needing to be cut across the board. They are also the ones that have said government employees are paid too much and should have our benefits cut. So maybe the wall, maybe Biden impeachment, maybe cutting all spending to beyond austerity measures, maybe something else, maybe all of the above. That's the thing: the only prediction you can make about crazy people is that they're going to be crazy.
Idk why 4 republicans don’t just cut a deal with the dems and make one of them speaker

Also are we just ignoring the fact the republicans are actively trying to destroy military leadership rn.

Republicans are so dumb they watch multiple media outlets that only talk about how all media is left leaning

You have no idea what you’re talking about. The progressivism in the military is what’s destroying it. It’s why I left I separated in 2017. I couldn’t stand the PC culture, low standard, anti-male rhetoric the military has adopted. It’s absolutely disgusting.

Putin thought that stupid shit too.

Turns out that you don't need to be a "real man" to fly a drone. War isn't an arm wrestling contest

Most Military leadership is 1000000000% worse than NATCA. They don’t listen to their subordinates and can walk over them whenever and however they want, there’s no union to protect soldiers so all they have left to do is comply.

You really don’t know anything, and it shows

So you think all military promotions should be blocked cus a football coach is playing politics with our soldiers?

You’re right. I forgot the only people involved in warfare these days are pilots and drone operators. It’s not like trench warfare or anything like that is even remotely a thing anymore.
Do they not need generals and stuff anymore? Dumpy tooberville thinks so

Need a lot of strength to push the button on the cruise missiles.
Did you know that things that fly are not the only way wars are fought? Just checking.

I missed that comment but id imagine those are still indeed needed. Chain of command and all that. Not to mention someone’s gotta profit as a military advisor right after they retire after all.

Imagine being so sensitive that you admit the reason you left the military is due to progressiveness. That's if you were even in the military and not some stolen valor loser.
