Coworker and I are in disagreement. On terminal flight progress strips, when writing departure/arrival times does the time need to be 4 digits or 2 digits (as long as the hour is the same as the proposed departure/arrival time on the strip)? Where is the reference, we can't find anything one 1 way or the other.

It would be have to be in a local facility directive. I'm guessing one of you is ex-af, because the "2-digits if in the same hour" is an af thing.

If it doesn’t specify how it should be written it’s at controllers discretion

Centers do 2 digits in the same hour for pilot estimates on a strip in NR

I had a sup who said I could use 2 digits as long as its in the same hour and "after" the proposed dep/arr time. That was a bit nutty.
