Nothing here yet with Anatole, where are you staying?
I don’t want to incite any commotion but I was also booked at Anatole, and Anatole was told “he’ll be checking in on 3/26, the first part of the class be in Norman” Basically.

This was sent from FAA housing direct to Anatole, without me CC’d.

Huh, strange. Just checking my email and just now received the welcome packet. I guess I'll submit my confirmation number to the FAA and find out.

Actually, just confirmed the Norman stuff too. So I guess Basics are done there and the main class is at the FAA. Is that new?

Your class might be the lucky one who gets the computer based basics again. Except rumor I heard is that they would sequester the test class from the rest of the academy(minimize outside opinions).

Definitely not the good type. There is somebody at my facility who went through the first round of testing. I believe almost everybody failed the EOC and ended up taking basics over again, but this time it was done in the traditional, instructor led, way.

What do you mean by that last part?
and I mean what I just did above. Interjected my opinion. When you’re at the academy you’ll talk to other classes and students. The FAA believes the first class to be tested using this new system failed due to other classes opinions. Hence why this is completely off site. Staying off site, taking the course off site, etc.

Rumor about this all CBI course for basics is an attempt to have people who “need” basics to be able to take at home and then only be at the academy for the option specific training portion.

So they are making you stay in Norman? Or they are putting everyone in a hotel for a full sequester?

Thanks that makes a lot more sense. Hopefully our class will have better luck

Hows everyone adjusting to the hotel bit for the first 30 days? I’m doing my best to get a mini fridge and microwave in the room.

Well I was thinking rice cooker and george foreman. Go back to when I would meal prep in the barracks. But if we have to do this meal plan, I'm just going to push through and be salty about it. I just hate that for me personally, I'm a planner and like to have my ducks in a row, and them changing plans around, without even working out the details so close to when we leave, is just bullshit in my opinion. But it is what it is.

It sure is! Smart. The hotel keeps saying they “don’t care” when I say I’m bringing small appliances. Big picture- I’m going to drown this in negative feedback.

Since those of us that were sent home from the academy may be finishing basics online depending on how your class does on this whole online program, how’s it going? You guys finish on Friday? How is the program?
