Our management said they'll only allow vaccinations in coordination with our RDOs, because you know the staffing is the most important thing during a pandemic...
Sounds like they're taking examples from other facilities that don't fit your criteria.
I believe that for the facilities on 5/5 or 5/10, they can say they won't give EA unless you're getting vaccinated during your EA days. Prevents you from getting recalled.
If they get it during the days they work, sick leave isn't unreasonable.
But for the facilities that are on the BWS schedule, there's only a short window when a vaccination could happen that doesn't affect the facility staffing. For them, it should be the controllers schedule the vaccine when they can and then any schedule gap is filled with OT to cover for the EA.

Yeah, doesn't help if we have one more person down we'll be alert for a staffing trigger, they're trying to protect those bonuses.

We were told that if we got the vaccine on our own we’d be forced to take our own sick time

Same. Ours is if you don’t coordinate with the atm they can deny the EA and make you use sick. I get my second shot in a couple weeks and will get one day of EA. Could be worse.

Sounds like y’all need to “seek” Covid testing and get some EA under the FAA’s Pilot Policy to Reduce Exposure of Potential COVID-19 Positive Employees in Critical FAA Facilities. You have until March 15th! Nothing says you can’t get vaccinated right after a test (just supposed to wait after a positive) and the FAA can’t require you to provide proof of vaccination right?
