Last thing I want is to get prematurely called back in to work before there is a coherent plan in place so I'm forced to sit in the conference room for 40 hours a week for 6 weeks to "self-study" until all the trainees spool back up so I can try to get an hour a day on clearance. After week 2 I'd be singing into Kurt Cobain's microphone.

If they decide traffic has rebounded enough to actually train (10 hours a week+) then yeah sure let's get this poo choo train rolling but until then, I'd much rather be sitting at home than in a trainee cubicle scrambling to turn off Netflix and pick up the SOP every time I hear footsteps.

I heard retirement age is getting extended and if you're under the age of 34.5 your TSP contributions will no longer be matched

Only if you're out for 120 days do you have to re-enter training for positions previously qualified on.
Between 30-120 days, it's just a skill check basically to re-certify.
