I try to buy something for every trip I take that has some significance. That’s what the hat was. Wouldn’t be caught dead wearing it outside of my neighborhood.

Yeah, I'd really fucking hate several months off work paid. Meanwhile we're going to be transitioning back to normal schedules while "high risk" people and trainees continue to ride the gravy train and take vacations and party and shit.

You realize there’s still trainees at work right? Ones deemed essential and told that their raises and future earnings are just delayed indefinitely. All while getting to come in and work.

I was a sector away from a $25,000 raise with a baby on the way that we had timed to go right in line with my certifications based on how I was doing. But ya, yay for free time..

The vast majority of the trainees that I know and work with want nothing more to go back to work and earn our paycheck. We’re bitching because it took 3 months to hear anything at all, and what we're being told is some zoom class that will be nothing more than glorified babysitting.

Don't want to sound like an asshole, but you knew when you were getting certs 9 months in advance? That's some clairvoyance shit there unless somehow everything just happened to fall into place.

i generally agree but when u consider something like even missing out on the June 1.6% as a multiplier (to CPC minimum) over 25 years thats a gigantic hit. Shit happens but the ramifications of this stop on the career field are hard to even put in to context yet. Which is why we should have at least got Hazard Pay to offset like the CBA says! #BestJobinTheWorld

It’s not like I knew exactly when I would cert to the day. I was just going off of a very cyclical training progression and going off of what my trainers were saying. Already having 4 sectors when we got pregnant and needing 2 done in 9 months didn’t seem like a far off goal.
