So glad I didn't buy a house or new vehicle like some of the other AG's close to me in training. While it could have been doable, I would have been much more uncomfortable than I have been.

ATC would never make an airplane divert. Unless it’s 9/11.

If this passenger got their info from the airline‘s Charlotte gate agent, or the flight crew after the divert, and they are blaming ATC for the divert, they are way out of line
