Back to vidya, anyone else try the Back 4 Blood beta? Game is gonna be fire if they work a few kinks out. I’ll be playing that and 2042 for sure.
I played one round of it. They kept shutting it down when I had time to play with friends. It seems fun, just not sure how long they can make it last. The graphics aren’t wowing me unfortunately.

Nothing like the environmental destruction in BF. I usually enjoy COD games but I always felt like BF is just so much more different with their objective based modes and vehicle use. It doesn’t get better than collapsing a building on top of a squad of campers.

Anyone have any pics of your gaming area/theater room/ man cave. I finally got an extra room to set up how I want. My room is about 14x18.
Some old pictures I posted on the PC Builds thread right after we moved into our new house, but I'm pretty proud of my setup since it is the first PC I built in well-over a decade:

Two 144hz 32" 1440p curved monitors and a sound bar. PC is Ryzen 3700x with a RX 5700xt, 32gb 3200mhz RAM, 500gb NVME with 2tb ssd for games and 4tb hdd for storage. Now when somebody teabags me in COD it looks amazing! I am thinking about getting some of those Displate metal posters once we paint hopefully within the next year.

I’ll be honest, I played about an hour of it and was really disappointed. I loved Left 4 Dead 1 but that came out 13 years ago and I feel like Back 4 Blood doesn’t really expand upon it all that much.

No, I agree but really enjoyed it still. I did play with friends which was always the enjoyment of L4D, so that helped. I liked the campaign length and it felt like a good amount if there’s a good amount of those. Not all sections felt too fleshed out though, so I definitely can see it losing its luster faster.

Trump 2042! Who’s playing that one?
Grift simulator 2.0! I'm really loving the multi-player tax evasion mode, but frankly grinding the rally minigame kind of takes to much time away from actual mission objectives, the whole Russia sidequest is made too easy to beat with the in game mechanics, and the Hong Kong dev team really really need to work on virus protection. Shits way too buggy.

Don't even get me started on the custom character options and graphics. How about some normal, realistic skintones. The hair looks pasted on my character, and the body dimensions are way off. No one's hands are that small.

Republicans kept saying Kamala was gonna become president. But now they all want Biden to resign. That’s some real 4D chess

The Russia sidequest was really disappointing. It got rumored and hyped for years to be this shocking, insane thing, and when it came out, it was nothing like the trailers. Such a letdown.

I really liked the resource management, everything’s so much expensive in the sequel.

Speaking of the sequel, just another game that gets artificially high reviews from paid-off reviewers. At least the community rating is starting to be more honest:

I'll never forget the life of me understand why some players like a game that requires in-game purchases for tutorials and health packs and rewards cheating. And how a good portion of people who like these aspects of the game root for the cheaters when they continually lose because of the hackers and would be much better off if both dev teams fixed the issues.

As for new patch, I'm also not a fan, the slow stuttering frame rate is way too slow, much like the previous edition from this dev team, it's really not doing a great job sticking to the advertised fixes to the shitty in game mechanics, this character arc is obviously on its last legs and the new sidekick they are trying to introduce to take over the series is incredibly unappealing, though I rather like some of the other NPCs I feel like there was lots of surface things dome to appease portions of the player base but really don't matter.

and this is all on top of the attempts change what's available in my inventory, which while this has been on the devs list for a long time, I've never been a fan of that, they still haven't fixed the bugginess from the last patch (which was promised) and the recent debacle over on the central Asia server left a lot of new players high and dry, should have done a better job of porting them to one of the north American or European servers before dropping support, not making them buy thier own copy after all that beta testing.

Quite frankly I'm tired of this shitty series altogether, I'd definitely play something else if my system would support it, maybe it's time for a hardware upgrade, but if I have to sink playtime into this garbage game I guess this one is just a little less terrible, and the overall gaming community seems to be a little more accepting of this version.
