Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-22-ATCEXP-80642

Same thing happened to me…but who do you go to to complain that they aren’t following their own guidelines lol
Sent from the ATO

“Current placement policy for candidates selected under a previous experience announcement require at least 12 months since separation/resignation to be considered for placement anywhere other than the resigned location, our placement policy does include the reinstatement SOP. If he declines the assignment back to the original location, he will be removed from the hiring process.”

I had no idea prior exp bids were treated the same as CPC reinstatements. I had found no policy in regards to that. Have a good day.

I don't think they're treated the same. I think it's more so that if you resign, your facility has return rights for 12 months. This was the case with the old reinstatement SOP and I think has always been the case with prior bids.

I know people have said they didn't care about 12 months for prior bids before but I have yet to hear an actual example other than "trust me bro".

There has to be such a small sample size anyway because who in their right mind would have applied for prior experience back then when they could just reinstate direct to facility of their choice.

Anybody know if HR has to do anything with timing of me getting a list? I completed CIL 28 Dec 22. I haven't gotten anything. My friend CIL completed on 8 Jan 23 and got his list 2 Feb 23. Like WTF?

Hope the FAA messes around and draws another lawsuit for wrongful hiring practices those clowns that sit at the desk in OKC and come up with this crap don’t understand what they put people through for no reason when there’s facilities struggling for people.

Just because you have completed your CIL doesn't mean you've been cleared. Have you checked with your various points of contact to ensure you've passed everything?

Their are a lot of factors like GC has mentioned as to why you haven’t gotten your list yet. Everyone goes through the process at a different speed. Just because you complete everything doesn’t mean you are “cleared”. Call HR and they should be able to let you know where you are in the process.

HR doesn’t. They can only tell you what part of your clearance they are waiting for i.e medical or security. You then have to reach out to the POC in that department. I’m in the same boat and called HR and they told me I wasn’t still waiting on a flight surgeon to sign my medical clearance. So I reached out to the medical POC and they notified me I needed additional paperwork. They say they’ll reach out to you if the need something but there’s a good chance they won’t like in my case.

Like the facility you left and won’t go back to? Lmao
Yup just expected to sit there and let the FAA continuously bend me over because they can’t adequately staff and the transfer process is a joke. I left and my facility became 100% staffed. Still wouldn’t have let me get back home if I stayed. Not to mention after 6+ yrs of watching everyone I train ERR and go places I had enough. But keep siding with the agency my guy

Was told by the HR line from OKC that I have been cleared just waiting a list. That call was a month ago.
yea man multiple people in the same boat, I was cleared mid January and still waiting on a list. Im sure well get one soon. Seems like they have been sending lists out every 2 weeks

So i just got my FOL, but the salary they offered me after locality pay is less than AG (according to atc123) shouldn't my starting salary be at D3?(tower only has AG, D3 & CPC) I should probably bring this up to HR lady.

If you weren’t in the military you won’t get d3. Same thing happened to me when I initially got hired on a prior bid without military experience.
