Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-22-ATCEXP-80642

MCF, CFO, and currently at BKF I do have a really good relationship with the district here in Denver and I from what they tell me they are hurting bad for people not only at DEN but all the satellite airports as well so I don’t know if someone is pulling strings from their end.
You guys have civs at BKF?

Yessir we actually had a guy go to Pueblo last year from us then resign and come back cause he hated the agency that much.
I'd imagine it would be hard to leave tbh. Idk what your traffic volume is, but the area is pretty awesome. The only downside is how expensive it is.

I agree, everyone’s situation is different and if something hurts claim that shit. Let the VA doctors determine what you get. I just thought it was a decent topic of discussion considering “the jacked guys” get the higher VA disabilities.
Way late to the conversation here, but:

I am by no means the most jacked guy out there, not even close, but I'm steadily in the gym and in decent shape for someone with a decently high rating.

Interestingly enough, through ridiculous amounts of physical therapy, my PT and doc told me, "Your pain and mobility issues will get significantly worse if you don't get into the gym more or get more active."

That's what drove me to get so much better physically fit. My actual quality of life is dependent on it. When I miss a couple weeks due to life stuff/illness, holy shit do I feel the weakness and pain more.

100% this. I would consider myself an avid gym goer. I have my pains here and their, luckily nothing but my shoulder is really that bad. Going to the gym has actually helped strengthen the muscle and tissue around my shoulder so it doesn’t bug me as much on the daily.

Just got an email asking me if I wanted JCF.

Isn't that a desert in California for... 100k? I don't know if you can live with that there. @_@

You can. It’s not the best spot though, and people aren’t generally happy there. But it’s doable. You’re on the Air Force base and you have to drive about 35-45 min into town to do anything.

Not if you have a ~80% disability. Most of our current controllers are raking in about 120k. The retired guys are about 150-175k for the chief that just got hired. We’re rolling about 85-88k a year RN for about 10k ops of just F16 and guard copters.

Thanks for the information about JCF. Talked to my cousin who lives in the LA area and took the time to think about it. Ultimately, I decided to decline. Rather take the chance on the bigger list.

Makes me happy that I might potentially see Level 8+s on my list, though!

I see first hand what they go through. I work closely with them, I think you’ll be glad you waited for a real list

For the 10000th time, move yourself, that’s fine.

But when people pull the moving schemes like loading down their truck or driving out of the way for mileage, just because you don’t THINK it directly affects you, it actually does.

The DoD had some billion something dollars unaccounted for at the last audit. I don’t know about you guys, but when I was in the Navy, if our supply PO managed the cash well, we had a small surplus at the end of the year that we spent on a new TV for the break room, better chairs, just small quality of life shit that made us happy.

Everyone did what they were supposed to do, and as a result our lives got better. Not saying it kept people from being depressed, but it helped.

Now imagine if said supply PO didn’t care and we didn’t have that surplus. Small things do in fact contribute to depression, and, hypothetically said Sailor has a terrible life and now is just one thing closer to depression.

Sailor gets depressed, gets out, and now the VA feels the need to pay them $3000 for the rest of their life. EVEN MORE strain on the budget.

So just because you don’t think little scams affect you directly, they actually affect all of us in a major way indirectly. More strain on a shitty budget for a country in debt, and more money unaccounted for in the system.
I think this guy is just trolling. No way someone has a boner for the rules and not “screwing” the military and isn’t a lifer. ?

I’ll enjoy my 80% for all the strain the AF put me thru during my time sitting at a scope. I’m working on getting to 100% currently too. Guess the government can’t afford to support Ukraine with billions anymore. ??‍♂️

Maybe ole' Corn Pop could start giving a damn about his own people and stop sniffing other people's problems ??‍♂️

well just so everyone else is aware Midwest contract towers do not count as experience for getting the D level pay bands.... just in case anyone was expecting that if you do not have 52 weeks DOD or military experience they will only offer you AG pay even if you have several years experience
