Who it’s owned by is irrelevant. They’re fully left slanted, don’t be obtuse.

So did liberals not adamantly oppose the Iraq, Vietnam, and afghan wars? Am I mistaken? Prior to Ukraine, I was under the impression that progressives are generally opposed to war. If not, then I guess they share the same views as warmongers in the party you supposedly dislike. By the way, I don’t think Russia should have invaded Ukraine either. I think it’s wrong. But the US should be at the forefront of brokering a peace deal rather than stoking the war by providing Billions in weapons to Ukraine while (an estimated) 500,000 people have died in that war in 18 months. We’re using Ukrainian pawns to fight a proxy war against Russia and it’s fucked up.
Liberals aren't progressive, famous liberals Barack drone strike Obama and Hillary warhawk Clinton are all the proof that liberals in fact love war, because they love making the MIC money

I always find the “blame Biden (or Trump) for Afghanistan” argument strange or sort of disingenuous - and to not take sides in it, it was obviously not the cleanest getaway in history - but it was something Trump’s admin initiated and settled a date for, was it not? And the consequences of missing the deadline were that the war continued as-is or worse.

I think our exit is worth a historical look to see what all went into play, but I think history will find the entire thing a waste of lives and money at the end of the day.

Wouldn't not helping Ukraine just give China the justification it needs to finally invade Taiwan? If there are no consequences then why not?
Bro, China just vicariously killed 1.1 million Americans and forever transformed the economy and psychology of the people for the worst and we didn’t even boycott their Olympics.

If you think the US would step up against China if they invaded Taiwan (and probably even Guam) you got another thing coming.

Their Olympics was in 2008 when they cared about their world image lol

I think giving up Bagram was a huge mistake and led to 13 of our soldiers dying unnecessarily.

If you are interested in this topic, here is a good podcast with an injured marines first hand account of what actually happened.

Someone still would have had to man the gates up until this time for the last person to jump on the airplane to leave Kabul

Because the things people say about Joe aren’t even true most of the time. Since when is anyone in America against helping an ally defeat a takeover of COMMUNISM. I’m not a military expert but having everyone withdraw from the center of a country seems hard. Someone has to leave last. Sucks it got messy at the end

Also I guess polls are good now?

CNN isn’t left leaning at all. But it’s hard when facts are considered left leaning.

Also we aren’t really sending Ukraine cash. I’m sure there’s some cash but it’s mostly stockpiled old weapons that we built to use against RUSSIANS
This is dumbest thing I’ve ever read that you’ve typed. Seriously, how young and delusional are you? I’m not trying to insult, so don’t default to victimhood, but I’m genuinely concerned with how your brain operates with simple problem solving and information digestion.

Back to the topic at hand, overheard my manager say there’s “emergency” meetings about the shutdown but no word about any policies or if it’ll actually happen.

I just wanna give a shout out to the retards in Congress and government that allow this to happen. Thanks guys, you always have ample time to prepare but care more about funding shit projects like Ukraine and lining your own pockets while the working class suffers. You’re the real MVP Congress!

They gave up a fortified and defendable position (Bagram) for HKIA. Seriously, listen to the podcast they talk about everything in depth.

Also they had Intel on what the bomber was wearing and what they handler was wearing. Our Military had eyes on confirmation of the bomber. They watched them walk through the crowd for hours and wear told not to engage.

There is a 99% chance you are going to bury your head in the sand and not listen to the podcast, but that 1% chance might change your opinion on this.

NATCA and the FAA sign a MOU leading up to a shut down. No idea why or what it says, but I know they meet. And the shut down is happening. The question is whether it is the end of this month, or December-ish. I'm guessing end of this month.

My sup told me we’re getting retroactive pay. Glad our voted members, both Republican and Democratic prepared for this bullshit. Fuck them all.

Yeah I'm not clear on how the back pay if you are sick thing is gonna work. I'm suppose to have a kid at the end of the month/beginning of Oct... so that could get interesting.

From what I've heard, the publicans are planning on a fight over the southern border.

When McCarthy chased after the Speaker position, he had to cut a deal with the real, real, real wacky fringe of his party (House Freedom Caucus) to secure their votes for him after 12+ rounds of voting. One of the biggest things he gifted them so he could hold the gavel was the ability for a single member to be able to make a motion to vacate him from his position.

If he does anything the HFC disagrees with, it is likely they'll move to oust him; that includes any kind of Continuing Resolution that would require democrat's support to pass. I'm not saying it's guaranteed, but a shutdown at the end of this month has the highest probability we've seen since the last shutdown.

Whatever HFC wants to make the shutdown about will likely depend upon whatever complaints the HFC members want to pull from their asses; unknown at this time if they'll have a unified front on their messaging, but the lead up so far has just been them bitching about all non-military discretionary spending needing to be cut across the board. They are also the ones that have said government employees are paid too much and should have our benefits cut. So maybe the wall, maybe Biden impeachment, maybe cutting all spending to beyond austerity measures, maybe something else, maybe all of the above. That's the thing: the only prediction you can make about crazy people is that they're going to be crazy.

But both sides
