Has anyone resigned from FAA and gotten rehired?

Who knows, they seem to be doing whatever they want

The MOU explicitly states you’ll be offered facilities based on the FAA’s needs. One of those needs is not encouraging people to resign to skirt NCEPT, so I wouldn’t expect any offers other than ones previous facility.

Which MOU? The previous experience MOU or the direct hire MOU. Two different ones that from my eyes the faa is treating the exact same way. Also I don’t get why the faa cares they’re offering a list based off of prior experience what’s it matter if it’s 6 months or 2 years later they are making the list.

Because like I said before, they don’t want people resigning as a way to bypass NCEPT.

The previous experience MOU or the direct hire MOU.

Both.

Fair enough but if you quit and try and get direct hired you have to wait a year to go to same lvl facility. If you go prior experience you have to wait a year to go to similar facility. The entire process now is mind numbing pointless if you come from a lvl 5 you really gonna go to another lvl 5 again lol. They came out with this process to deter people from quitting but I wouldn’t be surprised if people that are quitting now never come back. Also another way to keep the poor sobs at low level facilities where they’re at while someone at a lvl 9 can still up and quit for a yr and get direct hired where they want to be. Faa and their backwards way of thinking is trash. Have a staffing problem but instead of helping the situation let’s make it longer to let people back in that quit lol logic.

Sorry, it’s your logic that’s backwards here. The FAA’s logic is to prevent people from quitting in the first place.

They’ve removed the incentive with the intent of reducing attritions.

Ah the old you should sit at your lvl 5 and make 80k a year for 6yrs. Lots happens in life people die people get old health problems within family. But god forbid your entire family is in one location so you can’t get a hardship transfer just suck it up let them die while you’re in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do in those lvl 5 places so good luck meeting people and actually living life.

For anyone entering the agency this is my exact synopsis of the faa. Also why sit and make 80 in a shithole when you can go do a different job for the same pay in any real city lol

Correct, the FAA doesn’t care about any of that. They care about numbers. To keep numbers means disincentivizing quitting.

It’s an SOP not an MOU

I left a lvl 8 U/D for 8 years and was offered the same facility I left. 😆

The list had other facilities, BUT the highest facility on the list was the one I left.

The rest were lvl 5/6. They were sprinkled across the USA.

Tried to scam the system and got fucked.

Nobody got warned that a new system was coming out.

Maybe there’s other ways to disincentive quitting like creating a transfer system that doesn’t leave people stuck at lvl 5s for 6yrs but idk. Y’all keep backing the faa and their useless policies instead of your own brothers and sisters and it’s really weird that’s all I’m saying.

I’m not backing the faa policy I’m just not supporting the assertion that they’re not following the rules they put in place by only offering your old facility. I would love a better transfer system if I knew I’d be stuck on LI my whole career I probably wouldn’t have accepted my TOL.

That’s fair I guess I’m only bitter because I quit before the new rules were brought to light and now I’m 15 months out and can’t get hired because the stupid sop goes off of the date the bid closed
