So I was waiting for the "call" today and the phone rang. Unfortunately it was not the FAA with good news but the NTSB drug testing folks. In spite of being told by both medical and HR that I am cleared, I am now being told I need to repeat my drug test. It was negative for drugs but too dilute for the FAA to accept, which apparently happens when you drink a lot of water before giving a sample. Sadly that'll add a short delay of a week or two I presume, but oh well. Just putting it out there that you might have the same thing happen to you.

Bummer! Sorry to hear that. Good info though; I'm constantly downing water.

Hello my good people of p65. I have finally found clarity in my security fiasco. I finally got ahold of my security POC. She asked for additional documentation about me going to a doctor for emotional or mental health conditions. I'm like HERE WE GO AGAIN. I responded that I never had been or needed to, and asked more about my security clearance hold up. She replied. It's being reviewed, it is a process. I'm ready to throw hands at this point.

I send one more long email trying to explain my confusion, an hour later I get a call from her, turns out, there's a THIRD person with my name She just needed a little more information about one of my jobs and it shouldn't hold me back at all and will be resolved shortly. Things are looking up again! Also, legally changing my name.

Looks like the long weekend from hell is finally over, lol. Good news!

Wow what are the odds.

So last week I had the "I got a new job" talk with the boss, he was/is super supportive and happy for me. This morning he found the security letter open on his desk. Now both of us are wondering who is opening his mail!

My EKG revealed I have a heart arrhythmia today, so that’s fun!

I wonder if cell phone signals can interfere with an EKG - not that it would in any way be mistakable for an arrhythmia, I think that would show up clearly. Regardless, I turned my phone off during the physical so as not to interfere with the results of any test.

Finished my medical back around the 15th of February in the Western Pacific region. I've been told I passed the MMPI-2, but they are still waiting on the flight surgeon to review. Anyone else still waiting on the flight surgeon?

So I have an in person interview for security Wednesday to finally shore things up. He said it'll be about an hour/hour and a half. Anyone have experience having to do this. Not the slightest bit worried about it I know it's just a formality at this point. Do we pretty much comb everything or just the thing in question?

If I was to ask for a later class date due to my school semester almost being finished, does anyone know about how far out they will assign it? Most FOL's I have seen so far are about 20-30 days out for a class date, what if I pushed the date?

Three days away from my medical evaluation and I have not received the MedXpress email. I have emailed the 9 address several times and my HR POC but I haven’t gotten a reply. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Someone has already received a date in May to accommodate his college semester. If they say no you can kindly remind them they have already done it for someone else and that they should apply judgement fairly.

Yeah, don't do that. His question was whether it was possible or not, and the study shows it could happen in certain situations.
He's just reading the article. The only deviations were noticed when the device was placed directly on top of the EMG machine. Upon any distance from the machine no deviations were noticed. Based on how the facts align with the case study there is no emperical evidence to suggest having a phone within the doctors room will produce any noticeable fluxations. That's not to say there isn't a chance the EMG device was improperly attached or incorrectly setup. Always smart to get a second opinion. I doubt he's trying to be a downer.

I have an in person interview for security this week as well. Though I'm not sure why yet... both my Security and HR POCs said I my conditional security was cleared. Anywho, good luck with everything.

I finished all on the 19th in the western region. Mmpi 2 was also passed. I was told last Friday that I'm still waiting to be reviewed. I had a normal variant on my ekg and have since scheduled a stress test and taken a second ekg to find it is normal sinus. I've also gotten a letter from a psychologist to verify I am employable and the mmpi2 results were accurate.
