Will NATCA and the FAA extend the contract?

Man, I am so glad I retired last month. Has 2006 vibes written all over it.
One of trumps executive orders was literally the type of one that got us white book (set a bullshit deadline for negotiations then impose the agency work rules). We should be able to duck that because the law that applies to us requires arbitration. But who knows how the administration will play that.

What does that even mean? Every boss has a boss.
It means they aren't going to fire themselves.

Sooooo which one is it?

My point is this… you guys can’t even decide on the messaging for your fear-mongering. How about you just don’t.
It's only a different message if you think being a controller makes you some special snowflake immune to being a political football. Pull some shit during the next shutdown and see whose the fireable bureaucrat.

Not enough time before the transition. Current admin has bigger fish to fry than us if they’re trying to make things difficult for Trump.

Best case scenario in my opinion. Retention of basic pay with no progression. Straight salary, no OT pay no differentials. Public sector unions are made illegal and NATCA disbands. Hopefully current employees get to keep the FERS pension agreement but will sunset for new hires.

Polos are going to be the least of our concerns.

At least eggs will be cheaper

Maybe we are fear mongering but I hope people take the time to reach some of the material the right has put out

fear-mongering
the action of intentionally trying to make people afraid of something when this is not necessary or reasonable.

I’ll give credit where credit is due. At least you are honest about your bullshit.

I will do a legit write up of comparing white book to slate book and an in depth analysis of trumps previous actions and how it could potentially hit us in the future if there is interest. BUT I feel like often times I put effort into stuff it's a waste on the internet. If there's 5 real people interested lmk

In this case the republican party is split.

One wants control of government oversight and to slightly reduce it

One wants to significantly reduce it

The republican party hasn't decided as trump has not made his nominations. We don't know if it's the project 2025 crew or not

Regardless, one might call you crazy if you don't things will change. The question is, how much? At the moment, controllers are not really low hanging fruit.

No use worrying about it until the pieces are put in place. Keep your noses clean and stay out of the spotlight. NATCA isn't good enough to win a PR war.

Dude, I don’t know what’s you work but I just fully certified on all my D sides at my new Z. I’m way too important to get fired.

I would read it, I actually have a copy of the white book somewhere on my bookshelf, same with the green and red.
