Will NATCA and the FAA extend the contract?

MAGA ATC about to learn the hard way the name of Russ Vought, a truly objectionable dweeb but one who will be given the OMB power to f*ck as all.
And, yes, when you MAGA ATC folks look him up, he is that prototypical dweeb that got wedgies in middle & high school who is now on the warpath to inflict his vengeance on all the jocks who mocked and laughed at his nerdy ass in middle and high school.

Definitely will do my due diligence

I wouldn't be opposed to that.
Plop in some numbers: first, what do you anticipate your high 3 to average out to. Multiply by years of service (factor 1.7% for the first 20 years). Personally, I'm thinking mine comes out to ~80K for 25 years of service. Figuring a SWR is around 4%, that's akin to having $2 Million in the bank. So my pension in retirement will be worth around 2M.

How much would I need to invest at a reasonable ROR to get 2M over 25 years? I calculated about 30K a year at 8%. Plop that into a compound interest calculator, input your current years of service. For me, that's around $750K.

So getting paid out for what we've paid into it---instead of the current value--- that would be f'ed.

Thank you for introducing the simple but important concepts taught in a basic finance class, to include the “time value of money” that will likely fall on deaf ears in this thread:

That’s what Musk said. I doubt they get to implement that too much but that is exactly what he said the buyout would be.
And by “Musk,” you mean the illiterate South African Apartheid profiteer, who ran Twitter into the ground, relies heavily on government subsidies like the world’s biggest welfare whore, and who jumped around on the felon’s rally stage like an autistic dipshit on a sugar high, correct?

Or I could just take the $600Kish they're offering me to jump ship and raise cattle in bum fuck no where while smoking weed and getting adequate sleep/medical treatment for my personal needs.

Elon isn't dumb. Elon is evolution itself! Evolution of the business/government relationship.

First, the government mostly tried to hide it's business relationships.
Next, it didn't try to hide them, but it didn't parade them around, either.
Now, Musk has become our first overlord to stand next to Trump as much as possible and showcase his relationship.

Give it an election cycle or two, and young CEOs will be gratifying Presidential Candidates on stage. Then another few election cycles before the candidates have to gratify the CEOs on stage.

Evolution, baby!

So…praise Dear Leader is the ultimate idea of business accomplishment? Why not claim that fat fuck can outduel Kim Jong Un at this point?
