Slate Book Extended Until 2029

You don't need plants after making a unilateral, irrevocable decision and signing the corresponding MOU. The turn sandwich has already been made and everyone has to take a bite or four.

Every elected cuck that is a member of the NEB is betting the flames will burn themselves out long before the next round of elections. And, as for those that quit the union? They clearly see that as a win-win. They'll be unable to vote in the elections and that will enable the boot lickers at all levels of the union to burrow-in.

Me? I'm a simple person. NATCA has told me (and demonstrated to me) that they hate me; I'm simple going to match the sentiment.
Yep I’ve been waiting for ND or the NEB to give me any hope or reason for the controllers stuck at low level facilities far away from family with poor pay but it’s clear they don’t care.

Hard to sympathize with the lower levels when all you are worried about is working conditions because you are at the top of the pay band.

If people in 3 years want to step up and run in those regions or any others, I know how to set up web sites, send emails and all the likes and can help them navigate those portions.

I will make sure they don’t have to go it alone.
Perfect, I’ll be running for president then and will need a team of normal human beings

I’m loving the energy folks. Genuinely reform is the only option. If we all get out, that’s less opposition for the Daniels types. There won’t be enough votes to decertify NATCA anytime soon. I’m genuinely disgusted with NATCA but I’d still want my local running inference vs only the supes in charge.

We need to develop a “collation for reform.” I’m not talking about destroying everything that’s been built. I’m talking about responding to the membership and bringing this union into modern times.

Building/reforming is going to be harder than destroying. But the effort will be worth it in the long run. The UPS truck drivers took their union back in 2021. Look up their story, it’s remarkably similar to ours. And we’re at the point that they were in when they decided they had enough. A CBA that the membership voted against was imposed on them by their own leadership.

They got serious. Voted out the captured and soft leaders. Made real changes. We can do that too.

Whoever we choose to run against Daniels when the time comes is one thing. But we need to start now at every local we can.

I agree that everyone can’t get out, or can they?

People could jump out for 2 years, bank one year of dues to get back in (if they thought it was the right move), pay their local and be back in in time to vote.

Some locals even waive dues for rejoining members, as they pay their locale and then it pays them back.

The benefit of this would be sending a message, but then coming back on board for change.

Is it the right thing to do, maybe, maybe not, but it also is another option for those feeling frustrated, wanting their voice heard, but still being able to both affect change next national elections and have an immediate impact.

Or maybe just file an 1188, pay via check and write in the remarks “Nick lied to me” and feel some cathartic victory.

It should be from several avenues.

Not everyone can actively participate in the process right away. Maybe their local elections just ended and there's not opportunity to hold office. Those should get out to show their disapproval of the choice that NATCA has made. Get out, keep you ear to the ground and wait for progress to happen. Let the #ReformNATCA movement convince you to come back. Or get back in prior to elections and make your own move. Maybe stay out 100% until real progress has been made. Maybe get back in after a year just to prove your point.

This shouldn't and will not be a one size fits all strategy. I truly believe only crumbling membership will send a message initially. But after that we need to get wins whatever way any folks can fit in. Convention, locals, abstaining from CFS. Whatever option you choose, choose it with the goal to send a message and to reform NATCA whenever you get an opportunity you're willing to move on.

I'll add my own opinion right from the start and it won't be popular. Those 114s we love to dog on lately are our brothers and sisters too. No different from the brothers and sisters in those low level facilities. Have some of the 114s been milking the system? Sure. Without a doubt. Are some trying to actually do good work for the membership? Yes. We shouldn't be looking for scalps and trophies. We should be looking to reform this union and make it the possible version it can be for everyone. From the Zs to the low level towers. This union should be about the membership, all of us.

Let's actually get the membership back in control and do right by each other. No more cuck bullshit. That turns people away. No lawyer talk. Direct answers. No more waving off opinions and ideas, lets listen to each other.

We're getting young fast. Lots of new kids in my facility every day. We should encourage them to be involved in the change. To not be happy with the bullshit that's being fed to them. Things can change, we can change it.

Do you know how the pay by check works? I have some people interested. And if it requires them to handle hundreds of checks a month that is a message

Honestly too much to read at the moment. But the 114s surely have done something for the union but we would trade all of their jobs if the rest of the membership got a raise and that the issue. Cause Nick and his boys don't want that.

And no I don't think people shit leave the union because you are giving up your vote to get all these scans out of office but I can't blame a single person for getting out of the Union. Because honestly since the red book the union hasn't done anything except take it up the ass from the FAA.

I agree with reforming the union but that means that every single person on the NEB has to go back to the boards, Nick will have nothing to do with the union, and we immediately start to actually fight for our members (something NATCA hasn't done since before Rinaldi)

I probably missed the point of your post but it also reakes of Nick Daniels 🤷‍♂️

I knew what I said would be unpopular. I'm advocating for Nick to go. Anyone on the board that bowed down and let their members down needs to go. Anyone that drinks up our dues, feels entitled to spend our money because they did a single Zoom call on their WFH 114 gig while their brothers and sisters worked short. They need to go back to the boards with Daniels and the rest of the sell outs.

I want the cancer gone. ALL OF IT. But that doesn't mean everyone in the "system" right now is a villain. Putting people you don't know in the "others" category is how we got here. The Nick Daniels types think they know better than us, think they're smarter and that we don't get it. Let's not commit the same error. Remove the cancer, save what we can.

I'm not a 114. Not an area rep. Not a facility rep. Never been a delegate. But bet your fucking ass I'm running for some positions if I stay in. I'll reform what I can or expose what I can, while I can. I still have a while left in this career, I'm not eligible anytime soon. If I can make any change for the better then that's a win for me. I hope some other folks take it upon themselves to do the same and hopefully we'll meet in the middle someday.
