Slate Book Extended Until 2029

I was on my 25 min break so I didn’t get to listen to the entire rant but it was eloquent. Basically ripped Nick for being in his region and coming to his facility selling an entire agenda that isn’t truthful. Said I voted for you and sold my facility your vote for a reason and you didn’t deliver. Talked about how many 1188s were on his desk because of Nick today. Thousands of us are not all stupid so you can’t say we don’t understand the reasoning behind this and still not want to agree to an extension.

Idk the dude was good. The dude from SAV was good. The polls people put in the chat section were bad for NATCA’s agenda. If anything we have some real good leaders if these guys decide to run in the future.
 
So after 15 years of this shit contract let’s say someone favorable to unions wins next time around and by then we have someone with balls representing us. All this is a big if, but still just say it happens. How much of a % raise across the board would we need to be asking for at this point to make up for it? 30%? More? I don’t see the FAA ever going for that. I don’t think this is a setback at this point, I think it’s a demolishing of the career going forward.

I want the cancer gone. ALL OF IT. But that doesn't mean everyone in the "system" right now is a villain. Putting people you don't know in the "others" category is how we got here. The Nick Daniels types think they know better than us, think they're smarter and that we don't get it. Let's not commit the same error. Remove the cancer, save what we can.

I'm not a 114. Not an area rep. Not a facility rep. Never been a delegate. But bet your fucking ass I'm running for some positions if I stay in. I'll reform what I can or expose what I can, while I can. I still have a while left in this career, I'm not eligible anytime soon. If I can make any change for the better then that's a win for me. I hope some other folks take it upon themselves to do the same and hopefully we'll meet in the middle someday.

We need a new RVP for level 9 and below facilities. It is clear we don’t have a voice representing us at the national level
