Slate Book Extended Until 2029

So after 15 years of this shit contract let’s say someone favorable to unions wins next time around and by then we have someone with balls representing us. All this is a big if, but still just say it happens. How much of a % raise across the board would we need to be asking for at this point to make up for it? 30%? More? I don’t see the FAA ever going for that. I don’t think this is a setback at this point, I think it’s a demolishing of the career going forward.
NATCA in its current form will never negotiate, they only will collaborate and keep extending until 2159

RVP Bratcher is from a low level facility.

Yeah but he is representing every facility in NSW. We need one that is responsible for just Level 9 and below.

According to Reddit, Nick claims the FAA wants to open our contract. But they offered an extension? He also said that they declined to open our contract at the beginning of this year. Circles and circles
Per Rich the FAA wanted to open it, but didn't have enough LR/lawyer teams available due to other contracts being open.

How is that even possible? If one person is allowed to make that sort of decision there's a total failure in the process.
The RVPs are playing their weird psyop of saying they have zero power but we support and it need to move forward. But Nick isn’t responsible for anything that happened under Santa even tho he was an RVP and the NEB is way more in sync now (which Nick and mick removed I guess lol)

NATCA just ratified two contract where they achieved nothing but a 1.5% signing bonus and some soft language about telework that can still be rescinded
I reread it a couple times, I think I get it. We had all the FAA resources against us in negotiating the light blue book. Is that correct?

Yeah that contract didn't move them much if at all. Hence my perplexity with so many people wanting to go balls deep in another negotiation, but against potential EOs and having no leverage at all.

58:27 through 1:0348.

That’s the part worth listening to if you listen to nothing else.
This guy at 58 min is both right and wrong. The polls for NNE and NCE are relevant to those RVPs only. The fact that this was ‘the data we had’ does not make it relevant data. We have no proof what the membership wanted and that is a problem. And no anonymous message boards don’t count. There has to be national participation. Before anything is signed. HowTF do we not know what the membership wants? We need to poll everyone and we need to change the constitution to mandate ratification of an extension. It’s a crime that hasn’t been done already after Paul’s extension catastrophe.
Another problem is he said he would not do this and then he did it. Irreconcilable.

I could see them still wanting to open it actually. Especially since the DOGE boys said they wanted to undo all the last minute contract extensions and new agreements. The only issue is Nick is gonna be too scared to open it and actually fight for gains, and if he does open it he will sell off a lot of previous gains in the contract.

Also Nick constantly saying he did good by getting language in the MOU that both parties can mutually agree to reopen the contract is so stupid. Both parties could always come together to reopen it without that language. There is nothing that forces or even incentivizes the FAA to come back to the table unless they want to. Nick is just selling more snake oil

At a minimum RVPs should vote on every national MOU and the vote should be recorded and published. Regional leaders getting no say and not having to take a stance on anything at all needs to end.

That was me. I see your point, and I don’t disagree.

The constitution needs to be amended, immediately.

The membership needs to own it. I thought the light blue/purple contracts were gonna get a negative response and it was 96% ratified. I thought people hated it cuz I’m retarded and I forgot these boards are retarded. Turns out all the noise was just 7 intolerable dipshits bangin on their keyboards.
The RVPs are still playing stupid politics leaking onto Reddit stabbing each other in the backs every month. If it’s the NEB ratifying on our behalf then our people will still tear the union apart because our leadership has been relegated as an “other”. From now on we vote and if we wanna walk ourselves off the cliff so be it.

That part i'm not sure about. Its a good question. And im not a lawyer 😅. If there are EOs, the agency will jump at the chance to come back to the table.

Yah it was 7 people on the internet who flooded three days of town halls and all said the same thing. We need something more than a singular person with total power to do whatever they want.
