Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

Is the 10 day role for medexpress calendar days or business days? I'm going to call and set up my appointment today just want to make sure it's not business days.

I've been waiting since 28 Feb. That's when the AME submitted my paperwork. I have sent emails to the 9-agl.... email with no answer. This week I have been making phone calls trying to figure out my status. I like to think that no news is good news. I suppose it is just taking a while for the flight surgeon to get through everything? I am in the WP region.

Yeah I would agree with you there. No news is good news. I'm in the southwest region myself. I think it all just depends on what flight surgeon we ended up with. All I know is my medical is on the flight surgeons desk and has been for a while. Hopefully we both get the green light soon.

My wait was right at a month and a half; Finished the medical on 3/13 and got my FOL yesterday. I'm sure you'll probably hear something soon!

Appreciate it! Just need to remember and be thankful I'm already this far along in the process. Puts everything very much in prospective thinking about it that way.

There's only one in Tampa, so more than likely. I'm doing mine may 7th. Trying to get this stuff done quickly. Nice thing is I've been there for my army physicals a couple times

Today I got an email about medical disqualification due to migraines treated with medication. They use a term 'treating physician' in the special considerations form and I'm confused as to whether they want the form filled out by my primary care physician or the medical examiner I went to for my evaluation. I emailed back to ask the same question, but maybe someone here has the answer.

Also does anyone have any insight as to how they determine special considerations? I had migraines 10+ years ago when I was 11 years old and took the medication for 6 months with no symptoms or medication since.

When you had the migraines do you remember if they did an MRI or sent you to opthamlogy? I'm almost in the same boat as you, I haven't heard back yet about my medical but I had migraines as well for a short period of time. Might be following you with the special consideration before long. If you did get an MRI and an exam from opthamalogy I'd recommend getting the results as soon as possible.

I’m almost certain it was just a prescription for a short amount of time and the migraines stopped and then I stopped taking the medication. I don’t believe I had an MRI or was sent to an ophthalmologist. But I received clarification and they want the form filled out by the prescribing doctor. So I guess I’ll find out tomorrow when I call the office.

Well I very much hope for a quick approval of your waiver or at the very least letting you know it wont be an issue even if it is a wait. Waiting is much harder when it's such an unknown.

I didn't realize I required a special consideration until I got an email from the flight surgeon giving me one.

Did anyone else have problems registering on the EQIP? After adding my social security number, last name, city of birth, year of birth, and the registration code provided for me, it kicks me out and tells me log in failed. I have triple checked all my information countless times now and it still won’t let me in. Now because I tried too many times, it’s locked me out of the whole system. I tried calling my POC but no answer so I sent out lots of emails. I’m hoping to resolve this by tomorrow but I wanted to know if anyone else had issues?

It locked me out also the first time, just do the "I forgot my password" and it will auto email you a new one.

Issue solved, my POC got back in contact with me. Some of my information was wrong on their end.

I got an email (from LM) saying I would get a class date once she got my Official Transcripts, which I plan on getting to her tomorrow. Totally shocked. I'm Terminal btw
I actually got that same email today. Did you get your official transcripts and FedEx it to your POC? Im assuming that I cant email it since the official one is in a closed envelope.

I figured it out. My school gave me the option to send it electronically.

So ERAU has a service they use to send them electronically so I used that. Then my Community College (CTI) one I went to campus and got an official one, opened it and faxed it over myself with no issues

I thought the act of opening an official transcript makes it unofficial.

Finished up medical today! Now all that's left is...more waiting. I'm the the WP region so I hope I don't have to wait 4 months to get a date from here.
