FAA Facility List Offers - Info Appreciated

Go with the highest facility that puts you in a location you want to be in (skill level depending as well, be honest with yourself). You potentially may be there for a couple of years, may as well enjoy it. Also, your tower only facilities could put you in a position to ERR faster if that is your goal, don't discredit them if you want to get elsewhere from the list as fast as possible. Those would be your Type 7s

Haha I'm with you on Bama. 3yrs to get CPC with a 69% success rate is making me question how high i want CRP on my list despite the nice pay and low cost of living. I think i'm going with IND PBI STL TUL. Just looking for last minute inputs and what not before I submit. Though recently doesn't look like ppls preferences have really made a difference.
I certified at CRP in 11 months as one of their first previous experience hires. If you're not garbage they'll help get you a lot of training time.

You probably had a good trainer along the way.
Perhaps... lol
That’s awesome I put CRP my number one pick. Just waiting on FOL to see if I get it.
Sun/Mon and Mon/Tues are the best days for training. Both Sups on those days aren't the greatest for maximizing training time right now though. If you have the choice of the 2 days which I highly doubt, pick Sun/Mon based on Sup. Best Sup for max training time Wed/Thu or Thu/Fri but also the slowest traffic.

In all honesty I'm not too familiar with buffalo's situation. I do know they were taking erie, but I don't know what else the future holds for it. Purely speculation on my part and heresay really. The other locations I am a little more familiar with.

You wouldn't be Nolan would you?

Prior exp bid with prior military exp you will start at the lowest d band.
Yeah that’s as I understand it like I said above. D1 start there, no D1 then D2, no D1 or D2 then you start at D3 (find this at small lower level facilities). Caveat is if you are GS civilian DoD transfer then I think your pay transfers to applicable payband

If you are a prior federal employee, your base pay transfers up to the maximum D pay band. As a GS13 going to FSM, you would start at 81,328 since that is the maximum of the D3 band. It doesn't matter if your federal experience is a 2152 or a postal worker, the base pay transfers the same.

I was prior experience and I and a buddy of mine started at the top of the first d band

Your right I did as well now that I think of it. Then you get a 6% raise or bottom of CPC band whichever is greater when you check out. So in the case above roughly $72k
