FAA Facility List Offers - Info Appreciated

Between those three, most important would be where do you want to live for at least 5 years?
After that, take into consideration the level 9 vs level 8 aspect and everything else....traffic/staffing/cost of living.

I'm from Tulsa. People there are great. Plenty of night life and a solid downtown. Lots of suburbs around Tulsa that are small towns. All of Tulsa has almost a small town feel even though it's a decent size. Would be fairly easy to find country living as well. Good bass and crappie fishing in the area. Plenty of duck, deer, and turkey hunting in the area. Lots of lakes within a few hours. Weather is fairly similar to OKC. Not too much different than OKC but in my opinion is a much nicer place. Haven't been to Fort Smith too many times but it's like OKC or Tulsa on a smaller scale except in a prettier area. Arkansas isn't mountains but it is nice there. Weather will also be similar to OKC. Winter weather for both can range from mild in the mid 30s usually then into low 20s on occasion. If you've got any other particular questions about the area just let me know.

I got the same exact list. I put CRP, PBI, TUL, IND in that order. Everywhere else I don’t care for. I put MGM last because I hate Bama with a passion being from Louisiana lol
Haha I'm with you on Bama. 3yrs to get CPC with a 69% success rate is making me question how high i want CRP on my list despite the nice pay and low cost of living. I think i'm going with IND PBI STL TUL. Just looking for last minute inputs and what not before I submit. Though recently doesn't look like ppls preferences have really made a difference.

I would say STL, they are on the upward trend to a 9, plus the FACREP is a very good person.

I would mean toward IND, since its closer to home for me, and its cheap to live, and less murder-y than st Louis.

True, but if could go back STL would top the list for me just for the growth of the airport alone. Then again I am a TWA die hard so ?
Tul, ind, stl, and Abq would be my suggestions. I’ve heard that PBI is not an easy place to start. I don’t know why but I really trusted the person who told me that who worked there. I have known and worked with 8 people who started at CRP and not one of them has been good at their job. I don’t know if that’s dumb luck or a pattern.

Do you have a family, are you single, do you like outdoors stuff, do you mind, hot, cold or snow?
I like buffalo, but I went to grad school there, and I don’t mind snow. If I as starting out, that’d be my choice but it’s mostly because I know the area. If I got that years ago as my first facility, I might have even been a lifer there.... too late now.
ABQ, way too hot and far away from everything, but a nice zoo. Staffing numbers seem crazy. Corpus as a nine sounds intriguing, but I have no idea on the cost of living or anything else.
If you plan on transferring as soon as you can, in reality, take the place with the best staffing, highest/fastest checkout rate, and just keep that info to yourself and drop paperwork day one as a cpc....

Im a little confused here, I've heard that PBI is a dream location, mainly for a career wise its level 9 and you can get out of there fairly easily. Since it is highly coveted then its easy to leave. Not that it matters, but my 2 cents would be PBI - IND - ABQ - (Saint louis one) - BUF and the rest wouldn't really matter to me. Again, PBI I have heard is sought after. The area around IND is currently blowing up with real estate, and is just a really nice area. Plus fedex just made it one of their hubs and I am willing to bet they'll be getting upgraded within the next 5 years (theyre already adding additional ramp space at IND). ABQ - I've heard the area is great. STL because it is a tower with radar, aka youre gonna get some busy traffic at a level 7 tower only, better yet - tower only level 7 is an easy transition into some of the bigger towers around (10/11's). and then BUF because they are consolidating and will be supposedly upgrading to a higher level. Buffalo should probably be higher, but I am just not a fan of the city.
BUF will have to absorb more than ERI to get upgraded

In all honesty I'm not too familiar with buffalo's situation. I do know they were taking erie, but I don't know what else the future holds for it. Purely speculation on my part and heresay really. The other locations I am a little more familiar with.

Just loaded the Uhaul today, heading out tomorrow.
I chose IND PBI TUL ABQ for my top 4. Really hoping for IND for numerous reasons. Seems many ppl as of recent aren't getting their first picks. Just a waiting game again until they let me know what I get. My TOL was from 2016 so its been quite the wait.
