Since when? I thought we earn way more SL than we can ever realistically take in normal circumstances. 8 years in and I'm at 700 hours built up.
Take a day off.

I’d bet that most people don’t carry over more than 32 hours a year. Given that people tend to become more ill as they age, I think sick leave should go up the same as annual leave. You very well could have more sick leave than our Tue/Wed and Wed/Thu crews put together!Since when? Which is why it's foolish to me to use sick leave for random days off. But your list is great reasons to use it.Shit happens.
I've got over 800 hours...I’d bet that most people don’t carry over more than 32 hours a year. Given that people tend to become more ill as they age, I think sick leave should go up the same as annual leave. You very well could have more sick leave than our Tue/Wed and Wed/Thu crews put together!
People calling off usually ends up in trainees being used as staffing where they would have gotten training had said person called offAgain, how are they screwing people over? It’s no different than people calling in during thunderstorm season. Hell, that’s worse than now given the added complexity. TOP goes up, but safety should never be compromised for efficiency. Whether people are there are not, it shouldn’t bother anyone at all.
I’ve seen co workers spouses get diagnosed with cancer and before you know it their 5-600 hour balance is -240 and they are on the voluntary leave donor program. I lost a parent around the same time my daughter was born and we have no family close by. There went 500 hours of SL in a matter of months.Since when? I thought we earn way more SL than we can ever realistically take in normal circumstances. 8 years in and I'm at 700 hours built up.
Congress has already passed legislation guaranteeing back pay for furloughed employees.Interesting how people are so quick to want the furlough leave when our president said all furloughed employees were Democrats anyway then proceeded to gut federal employee cost of living adjustments since “we can’t afford it” when we’ve been working without pay for a week already. I know that the status quo has always been to backpay the people furloughed but I doubt he does it at this point.
You’re the reason we can’t have nice things.Maybe the Agency should be pushing up the chain to have the Orange Baboon stop throwing a temper tantrum and reopen the government instead of wasting time with this.
That’s only the senate. House needs to pass it too. And the president needs to sign it.Congress has already passed legislation guaranteeing back pay for furloughed employees.

Please explainYou’re the reason we can’t have nice things.
Congress would have to not put this in the funding bill for the government. That’s not gonna happen. Imagine 800,000 federal employees calling their congress people.Interesting how people are so quick to want the furlough leave when our president said all furloughed employees were Democrats anyway then proceeded to gut federal employee cost of living adjustments since “we can’t afford it” when we’ve been working without pay for a week already. I was kind of thinking of it the same way as I did in the Navy. When you work all day and have have to stand two 5 hour watches later that night, just to get woken up at 2 AM and be told you have to stand an extra 5 hour watch because petty officer so and so is sick even though you saw him all day and he was perfectly fine.Again, how are they screwing people over? It’s no different than people calling in during thunderstorm season. Hell, that’s worse than now given the added complexity. TOP goes up, but safety should never be compromised for efficiency.
