Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-16-ALLSRCE-49075 Bid

Pool 1 TOL holder here; it took about 2 hours for me to receive mine after the first ones started going out on the 14th. I imagine they will do all pool 2 non vets at the same time just like they did for non vet pool 1. Good luck shirley!

On another note, still waiting for my CIL. Got my received confirmaton email on the 15th.

Thanks, was wondering that myself! Hopefully you get that CIL soon. Just saw someone from the August '16 bid get an April 21st class date somehow. Sooner the better!

Enroute TOL received around 2:55 pm Eastern!

It's been 5 years since I started the process! Find it funny that my classmates and I, who checked out in towers in school, are now slotted for radar. I'll take it!

Congrats on the TOL, if you don't mind me asking, if it's been 5 years, what made you go Pool 2?

I am starting to get worried. I haven't heard anything. I was a pool 1 candidate. Not sure when the last TOL will go out.... 🙁

I certified at a tower with a non-CTI school (there are dozens of us, dozens!). Never had the opportunity to get 52 weeks post-CTO experience, so I've had to apply "off-the-street" even though I'm a licensed controller. Weird situation. Disqualified by the Bio-Q in 2014 and 2015, passed in 2016. Took the AT-SA and now referred with TOL in 2017.

Since school I've had a really good job in ATC, just not as a controller. Never saw the need to enlist or try CTI, since I'm young enough I could just keep trying my luck with ALLSRCE bids.

Wow congrats man, chips couldn't have been stacked worse against you. Always great to see the FAA get one right.

I'm one of the Dozzens, that sounds exactly like my situation, except I don't have a TOL (Yet?). Add to that the CTO bid from 2012 that was cancelled just because, then along came the Bio-Q. SCH would have been a great idea if that all hadn't changed.

Yeah it was really poor timing with the hiring changes. I loved my time there, and my time in the tower translates well into what I do now. Just not sure it helped me get the TOL in the long run. You must've been one of the classes before me.

If you don't get a TOL this time around, keep trying! I got really discouraged in 2014 and 2015, didn't expect any different this year, and somehow lucked out. Such randomness to all of this, but I'm always pulling for SCH alums. We're like the redheaded stepchildren of the hiring process.

Yeah, still a chance, the next few weeks are gonna be hell. We must definitely hang out if I get an enroute TOL next week and we end up in OKC together. I'm just terrified that I won't be able to get past the Bio Q again. I was surprised I even made it this time.

Yeah I hope you get one man. I graduated Beaver in Dec. 2014 and failed the 2015 BQ while most of my classmates ended up passing and are at their facilities now. I'm grateful for the TOL I got but I know I got absolutely lucky on that and it just as easily could have been me that did not get one.

Does anyone else feel like things are moving fast I don't want to get to excited until I have an actual school date ....
Moving fast? I'd be happy if I finally get a TOL. I've been trying for 3 years now. Passed the at-sat back in 13 a few months before the change then couldn't get past the bio-q the second time around. The hurry up and wait has been killing me. Hoping for a TOL in the 2nd batch of Pool 1s to go out whenever that happens.

Has anyone heard if they are planning on hiring a second round of pool 1 applicants? It seems weird to start on pool 2 when they hadn't selected everyone from pool 1?
