Does anyone have any experience at Patrick? I can't find much information aside from what is on AirNav, a single post on StuckMic, and of course the limited information on tenant units on their .mil site and Wikipedia. I'm interested in current/recent traffic count, types of air frames that typically shoot approaches or operate there, working conditions, etc. Also, I heard that you split time between Cape Canaveral and Patrick. Does this mean you earn two CTOs? Any info is appreciated.

We have c130 And helicopters. We do about 34k ops a year. 75% of that traffic is civilian transitions. Only abou 25 to 30ops a day actually come to the runway. So if you looking to buildyour atc skills stay away. Of you want to sit and watch the world go by this is the place for you. They converted this place to all dod civilian 10 years ago because of lack of traffic and not a good place to train controllers. Now someone had the bright idea to change it back. Because get we could train people here lol

David,

Thanks for the reply. I knew it would be slow, but didn't know it would be that bad. It sounds ideal for a DoD position. I applied to an active duty posting on Equals Plus for the WS/TSS admin position that was open. I got the denial email today when I got to work. We were hoping to PCS over there since the FAA bid isn't looking good for us active duty folks. Thanks again.
