MMPI-2 Tier 2 Process

I guess you’re right, honestly I haven’t even been waiting a quarter of what you’ve waited and I’ve already given up. I just don’t care anymore, I’ll just work my contract tower job until I hear from them I guess. I email once a month just so they don’t forget about me, I’ve only been waiting like three months. What did they say to you after you cleared all that up? Did they give you an appointment date?

-Tier two said they were waiting for my BI to be done.

-BI finished May 17th. I was told June 3rd by RDC I was adjudicated by Security POC and documentation was uploaded.

-Reached out around July 10th to find out what was going on. Cleared up a discrepancy with security. Talked to security POC, adjudication FULLY given and confirmed around July 17th. RDC's manager stated that Hope was just waiting on my BI info to be sent to her by security POC or OPM/NBIB. RDC stated he already uploaded info.

That's where I'm at now. RDC is under the impression she has everything. Though Hope says she is waiting on the BI info. Then I'll be scheduled.

It seems there's a communication issue between RDC and Tier 2/Hope. Which is why I CC'd everyone RDC, Security POC, etc and started emailing that way. It got them all talking and the problem resolved in days versus months.

I can understand wanting all the information. What I don't understand is how every 3 months there's some new issue where they need documentation about something else. They've done this every 3 months like clock work to me. "Oh we need this now...."

Like review the ENTIRE packet and tell me EVERYTHING you need.

My guy what number did you call? haha I'm also thinking there is a possibility they are waiting for my security clearance to go green before the psych appt. Pure speculation on my part though.

I won't be giving the number out here or PM. As I'm not sure that's appropriate.

I did call the medical line and RDC's supervisor emailed me with it.

Sorry I’m just not sure f I’m understanding you correctly, your background check has to be completed fully to proceed with the tier 2 eval? My hr lady told me she got back my background check and it was good

Ran into the bolded portion a ton... my theory is that whenever someone new touches the file it's easier to CYA by kicking the can down the road to the next person who looks at your file by "locating an issue" for you to fix. Then they aren't the one giving you the "official" okay.

I mean i thought i was done multiple times but got hit with additional requests more than once on completely unrelated issues, by a different person.

Then I dunno what they're waiting on with you.... did you do your appointment?

Hahaha facts. It's as if the military and government civilian sector had a baby....

I have a buddy that told me he that RDC told him that hope doesn’t even answer his emails, that she does things her way and on her own time. So emailing him over and over again won’t speed anything up. This process just blows, TWO YEARS IS JUST NOT OKAY. But we all got ourselves in this.
We don't necessarily get ourselves in this. The test is outdated and not a good representation of a person's personality. Sure, most people pass it, but if it truly was catching someone with personality issues then wouldn't most people still not pass the psych eval as well?

It's not like this is a test that can be practiced or studied for.

You mean the government is using outdated/useless testing to find the best suitable candidates? No way :p

Nope

RDC told a friend of mine that from my bid alone out of 445 candidates 362 failed, and yeah I understand but you know what I mean. This is just getting old. The one dude said this process chokes the life out of us, it truly does.

Received e-mail from Hope yesterday stating my "recommendation" has been sent back to my Medical Analyst. As everyone seems to have different progression on this... i.e. received refresh of drug test, etc. I'm assuming a recommendation email being sent back to my Medical Analyst is a good thing? If there was a hangup with my Tier 2, Hope would be the one informing me?

Your analyst will tell you if you passed or failed. All she's saying is "you're done with tier 2" not that you passed or failed. The recommendation goes to the flight surgeon then the flight surgeon will use that. As long as it's favorable I don't see you having an issue. RDC will let you know.

So I clear medical on the 29th and I am curious if anyone else who just was in the last string of tier 2 passes has received a facility list? My HR rep has been out of the office for the last 2 weeks...

Just making an observation here.. I've been on pointsixtyfive and stuckmic for a few years combined. The tier-2 threads would appear every once in a while, but I didn't see them very often. Maybe I'm just noticing these threads more because I'm now in the process myself, but it definitely feels like way more people are dealing with tier-2 these days. Either due to higher fail rates, or the agency has gotten slower at dealing with the process recently. Anyone else think the same?

I would venture to say they seem to be dealing with it more quickly now than before. 2018 applicants have already had appointments vs 2017 applicants were barely being notified about being tier 2 at the same time.

Does anyone know if we need to update our Security POC if things happen in our life that are usually reported on the SF-86, like picking up a second job or if one of the contacts for an old address has moved? Do we go through our SF-86 again once we are hired to see if any changes need to be made?
