Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

Unless it’s changed recently Pool 1 was those with a CTI degree and military veterans. Pool 2 was basically everyone else.

I am kinda cerious. What pool did u guys get picked from to test. And if pool 2 what job did or do u have
Pool 2. Got my degree in computer science. Worked as a software engineer for 1 year. Now I am an aircraft dispatcher for a regional airline.

So how do they know your still best qualified if they don’t have this years scores? Or are the bands locked in now. It all used to be relative.

Woah, A&P is a good job though, and the industry is really hurting for good mechanics

If you are interested, Air Force Civilian Service is directly hiring mechanics at all their depot locations (Tinker OK, Robins GA, Hill UT). You don't need your A&P but with it you could probably start out as a grade 10, which is around $25 an hour in most localities. Food for thought.

Edit: Tagged wrong person lol I'm sure they'll see though.

Welp, I took everyone's advice here and murdered every part of that ATSA.

.... every part except that damn Simulation where I unfortunately had a trigger finger and pressed '0' too early. Also had a lot more collisions then I wished for. The crafts would collide earlier than actually touching each other which sucked for timing. Sooooo looks like I'll be re-applying for next year's bid lol.

Thanks to everyone here for their comments and help. Best of luck to everyone.

No one has any idea how the exam is graded.

Its not over until they say not hired. Everyone has collisions, don't let that get you down. For all you know, you could have done way better than a lot of other people. But yeah, that collisions part can be tough

I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the lowest weighted portions of the test. I did absolutely terrible on that portion and got a TOL that year. An En Route TOL at that lol.

Took my at sa, did well on everything cept I let more dots crash than I would like and struggled a bit on the logic problems

So I'll see what happens

It's done. I got like 3/4 collisions at the end and thought I failed... until I was waiting for my exam proctor to come over and saw a different guy get 11 collisions in 3 problems... good luck to all!

I also think I turned off someone's simulation... the power strip was under my test and I tend to move my feet around and I definitely kicked something and it got loose.. the guy went to get his proctor a few seconds after... if you're reading this I'm sorry my dude (Today in Chicago).

Someone farted the first time I took the test and half the room started laughing. It annoyed me and threw me off during the differences section. Ended up making me laugh too though. Still pissed me off and distracted me. But it was actually really funny because he tried coughing to cover it up, but he coughed before he farted lol.
