MMPI-2 Tier 2 Process

Negative, I received notice of disqualification. I will appeal and try to win. Then continue the tier-2 process. The reason of disqualification was “maladaptive personality traits” saying I don’t adapt to stop getting traffic infractions. Which is outrageous, hear me out. I have 6 total infractions on my record all very minor nothing to do with drugs nor alcohol. 4 out of the 6 were in 2015, I was 17 and young and dumb. I started separating live air traffic early 2016 and have been continuously doing so until now. I went 3 years without getting a ticket. (I’ve been controlling traffic for 3 years) Until I got the other two infraction I listed above a few months ago. Which were very minor. So if you ask me I’ve adapted pretty well to not getting tickets since I’ve been a air traffic controller for three years. Adapted pretty well to my new level of responsibility I hold. So I don’t understand they higher people with DUI’s all the time.

RDC and a senior flight surgeon I’ve never had contact with before.

Did you do your tier 2 eval? Or were you disqualified before you even got your eval and met with a pscyh?

No I’ve been dealing with this for the past two months, I need to clear this before I can proceed to the eval part.

Gotcha. I was going to say, I had a good amount of traffic violations. DUI at 17 and a few speeding tickets. Though I'm 28 now and haven't had really anything in years. I think I had one ticket in like.... 2012.

Question for those that cleared Tier 2. How long after your Drug test refresh till you got your FOL. Got my date already, but I am waiting for my FOL to give my job notice.

It’s one thing after the other with these people, I don’t even know if I wanna add on more years to this wait and appeal. This whole thing is stressing to the max.

I mean, I didn't have to appeal mine as they approved me with that info. In fact I have a lot of stuff but it was all from years ago except for one thing. And that one thing they aren't even allowed to know about but someone in the Army messed up. Which is fun times.

Anyways, I would appeal it and live your life as if that's it.

Like if you've been putting off college, masters degree, etc. Or waiting and basing it off this.

I don't know how long this appeal would take to be clear. It could be quick or it could take a while. Given that you didn't even get to do tier 2 I'm kinda baffled.

I’m going to try and appeal, I work at FCT full time other than that I’m just learning to fly. I don’t have much going on to kill time. Again, thanks for your input.

I had my tier 2 evaluation 2 months ago and haven’t gotten any updates (no received notification or anything). I emailed H**** 2 weeks ago and no reply. The whole application process is really terrible.

unfortunately it's gonna be a while. some people have waited 2 years, im currently on 6 months i think? best thing to do is just forget bout it and move on like others have said. live your life and wait.
Did you already have your evaluation?
