A friend who has been a die hard LA lover our whole lives told me recently theyre moving to Thousand Oaks. So above and beyond the normal political rhetoric I am actually hearing it firsthand from people now how bad it is. Someone who isnt into politics or controversy at all, and finally threw in the towel. it must be REALLY F'ing BAD there. excerpt of an email in early May...
"...also i think we may be moving. we're looking to get out of los angeles - its gotten so bad, there are so man homeless and its dirty and trash. it wasnt like this 5 years ago when we moved her... and with the whole virus thing... the city has given the homeless hand washing stations and porta potties. YES so they are still living on the streets, in the parks (that I cant go to because theyre closed) and lining their tents up (6ft apart) in the under passes but now we have porta potties on the streets too... just sitting there on the sidewalks like lalala. and you know the homeless will take great care of them, right, and keep them clean, for sure. so yeh we are seriously considering moving... just down the 101 (so californian) to Thousand Oaks, which is in Ventura County not LA... its like a different world, where the politics have yet to ruin the community. I drove by a park there the other day and was like, uh where are the crazy homeless men peeing on the trees or sleeping on the picnic tables? there were now - just law abiding citizens walking around. So we're looking at houses..."
Also, I cant believe its legal (but apparently it is) for Garcetti to cut off the electric and water of paid citizen homeowners, but thats what he says he's going to do to people who are not adhering to Corona rules in their own houses. I think NY and CA are in a deathmatch to see who can go lower quicker. Another Nepotist tinpot dictator.

Can you believe the mayor of LA is the son of the district attorney of LA during the OJ trial? The father was set to become mayor of LA before the OJ thing derailed it, I’m sure he was proud when his son got it but has to be secretly shocked and appalled what a shithole he turned it into.

not at all. Both things can be and are true. Real estate prices and quality of life are not synonymous. its amzing if you can afford a house in Malibu or Calabases or Menlo Park or Palo Alto... but ATCers cant do that. And you can hide out in Norcal all you like, but you are still paying for all of Gavin's psycho initiatives.

I must be naive too. I admit im shocked that Gavin actually became governor. He was obviously angling for it for years but with San Francisco being turned into a 3rd world country (only Serfs or Lords) I thought he would be DQed. There is no such thing though. Same will go for Kamala running for Veep. She destroyed so many lives with her ruthless heartless merciless prosecutions ("WIN" at all costs!), but that wont matter.

Since I don't live in Oregon or Washington I can't comment too directly on them except from all the sensationalist stories put up by both sides.
What I can say for certain is foxnews and the right have absolutely nothing to do with the state of California which you confirm is a shithole.
You must not live in LA county then.
I don't and neither do I live in SF county, those are different worlds for sure.
