MMPI-2 Tier 2 Process

I got a email from HW requesting me to fill out the tier 2 release forms and send it back because she found a doctor in my area to take my case also a HR guy called telling me he’s going to be my new HR and that I have to renew my security clearance and drug test refresh so hopefully everything goes smoothly from here applied in 2018 I’m pretty happy

Renew security clearance too? I thought that was a 2 year renewal. I’m only asking because my 2 year TOL date is December of 2020 which means I’d have to do that again as well, and I really want to avoid it.

also- I finished my tier 2 appointment and did my drug test as well. Was never told I would have to complete another security clearance, and I’d rather be proactive and ask about it before she tells me in 2 months that I need to do it.

Well that’s a good point, when he called he just said it expired a little while ago. At this point I just do what they tell me I’ve waited so long Idec ??

So how sure are you guys that a pre-employment security background check is good for two years? Because I just went through my emails and I did my security background check around April 2019 but the new HR guy said it expired a little while ago. Shouldn’t it be good until April 2021? Should I email him and ask or should I just shut up and just do a new one?

I’ve heard it on this forum that it’s 2 years, never from HR or a medical analyst.

Conditional is only good for a year. Went through this a couple months back. The renewal was fast though, only took about a week.
Oh okay, cool man thanks for the Info. Do you remember if you had to refill in all the information on e-quip or did it save the information from the last time you did it?

My info in eQip from 2017 was still there when I started a new clearance this year. Just had to update and add a few things. And that was after completely separating from the agency and coming back.

I emailed my certified driving records to RDC last week, he emailed me back and mentioned my package being sent to HQ to coordinate my tier II. Monday I received an email from SM, requesting a personal statement, which I sent immediately. This is big right? Or should I still be expecting to wait 6+ months for a list?

I had to do similar things for driving infractions so depending on whatever they’re mad about this could be a adventure for you

So here’s my timeline for you. Now take into account it was SMACK dab in the middle of the government shutdown....

TOL-12/2018
MMPI/ Medical/ Security completed- 2/2019
Government shutdown- 2/2019
Notified tier 2- 5/2019
Personal statement requested- 6/2019
Driving record requested- 7/2019
Contacted by another medical analyst to tell me my driving record was never received and needs to be sent again- 9/2019
RDC sends paper work to HW in Washington - 3/20
HW sets up tier 2 eval in current state- 3/20
Corona virus causes my job to shutdown and send us back home for time being- 3/20
Notify HW of new state of residence- 3/20
Tier 2 re- evaluation- 5/20
Notified by RDC/ HR medically cleared- 6/20

take that with a grain of salt... my process has gone through the government shutdown and the “government shutdown” with the corona.

I wasn’t too clear in my initial post. The personal statement that SM requested yesterday was for a counseling I received in 2010 when I was in the military. RDC said last week “I have sent your file to HQ to get you coordinated for your Tier II.” My driving record is clean, but when I enlisted 11 years ago my recruiter had me pay some tickets before boot camp, which showed up in my military personnel file.

I’m just wondering if “being sent to HQ for coordinating tier II” means i might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel lol.

My tier II timeline:

2019
8/31- Tier II notification
8/31- Military Forms Request
2020
4/20- FCE/Personal statement sent
4/27- Flight Surgeon docs sent
7/21- Allergy statement request
7/22- Allergy statement submitted
7/27- Driving record request
9/27- Records submitted
10/6- Personal statement #2 submitted

I think it would, because from being told that to finishing everything and waiting on a class date took about... 3 ish months.

Does SM and HW do the same job or should I expect to hear from HW at some point too? I don’t see SM mentioned as much as HW on here. Thanks for the info too

Well yeah you’re pretty close assuming they won’t ask for anything else and your file doesn’t get sent back to RDC like mine did numerous times then all you’re waiting for is HW to contact you and when she does that it goes by pretty quick I’m just waiting on her to send me my doctors contact information so I can schedule my tier two appointment rn ether way good luck brother and I hope it’s goes smoothly for you

Hey boys, new to the Tier 2 club. I just received word from SM that "Your file has been forwarded for Tier 2 coordination. Your case will be reviewed, a Tier 2 provider will be selected and contacted to confirm they can accept your case, and then the necessary paperwork will be generated. Further instructions will be provided once these steps have been completed."

This has been a long process of submitting statements, driving records, and other stuff. I haven't heard from this RDC guy or anyone else, just SM.

What kind of timeline am I looking at fellas? Glad to be suffering with others finally and not just myself lol.

Never heard from anyone besides SM for me.

Well possibly 4-6 month wait to hear from your person mine is HW. Then they’ll tell ya you’re tier and they’re going to look for a doctor for you and that this can take 45-90 days. Then you’ll get a email saying they found you a doctor and they request a form to be filled out by you and get it notarized asking permission to release your MMPI-2 results to the doctor they found for you then they’ll release the scores the doctor will have to review the scores then your person will reach out to you again to schedule your appointment you do that and from the appointment it’s about a 1-2 month wait to hear back if you’ve been cleared through the tier 2 process or not then expect a drug test refresh new medical or security background refresh depending on how long you’ve been waiting then you’ll be just waiting for a class date or a list good luck brother

Anyone here that had to do a security check refresh remember if they had to go get re-finger printed or was it a matter of just updating the information in the eQip
