PC builds

My main pc is an Asus strix flair mech keyboard. My second is a logitech g15.

Anyone mine crypto? Just started yesterday using cudominer. I have a plan to build 20 mining PC's but want to build a cheap mining pc first and test feasibility. I can build a good mining rig for about $700. It should he generate about $1200 a year

From what I've read in the past it just isnt worth it anymore to mine crypto unless you happen to mine a coin that hasnt skyrocketed yet but does and you can sell before it crashes. Between the equipment costs, electrical and all the time investment it just isn't worth it for me. What do you plan on mining?

They refer to them as both certain percent and tenkeyless
Ten keyless is no number pad but I think some people call them 90% but I would love a 65% keyboard but they’re so expensive to build with aluminum cases and brass weights and they all ship from overseas and I don’t feel like soldering all the switches

While they are cool I love the dedicated number keys of a full size keyboard. I still might build a 65% with cherry silent reds and get a dedicated number pad down the road.

That's why I am going to build a test rig first. My son needs a pc anyway. So far cudominer seems to be working on my own pc very well. It mines the most profitable for your equipment. It's clearly not as profitable as it used to be but it seems like it could make a decent return on investment.

From everything that I have seen I can have everything paid off in about 10 months.

If you’ve never used Kailh, I highly recommend, I’m probably going to get a dedicated number pad in the future just for productivity sake, the only thing I really miss with my 60% is the arrow keys

I don't know anything about keyboards, I just have a mechanical Logitech keyboard. Was thinking of getting one without the num pad but still want arrows. I'm guessing I can find that? I don't really use the number pad anymore

65% will be the smallest you’d want to look for, but there are 75% or tenkeyless depending on if you want the function keys as a separate row and so on, also different switches feel and sound different and find which one you’d prefer.

I7 9700k and RTX 2080 super. Measly level 6 so no 3080 for me. ? mostly a Corsair build.

Anyone running a mechanical keyboard? I have a MK night typist and really love it, switched from an ancient razor mechanical and was really suprised by the difference.
I used a $20 Monoprice mechanical with cherry MX red switches for 4 years and eventually decided to try something else recently. Tried both a Ducky One 2 SF (65%) and a Ducky Shine 7, each with black switches, but eventually went with a Razer Huntsman Elite. Razer has always been cool to hate but I think they've come a long way, I have a Viper Ultimate mouse that I like as well.

Just wondering, what's everyone's most demanding game/software y'all use?

I'm currently not playing much other than Warzone and sometimes Rainbow 6. Still rocking my 1080 until I feel the need to jump up

For me it would be pretty much anything in VR, without a 3080/3090 true 144hz is pretty much unattainable there. Outside of that, my 1080 and i5 6600k hold up well enough since I only play at 1080p/60fps until I upgrade.

I don’t play it much anymore bust the most demanding thing I’ve played recently is Rust. Super demanding.
