Virtual On-boarding and Online Basics

The rolling initial tower cab class review where they keep adding students to is about a 6 week long course. So when you finish the 2 week online tower cab course (which is something new that I didn't have to do) and the 6 week virtual initial tower cab course, you go into the rolling class and review the material on repeat until you get your welcome letter. When I first joined the rolling class there were about 45 students in total waiting for an academy date. Just last week there were 18 left and we just had a new class join this week.

I've heard the rumor about them adding more classes but never heard the exact month when they were going to start that. Is it instructors that are telling you this? It looks like they added more dates for Jan and March so just figured they were waiting until the new year.
All speculation. "Maybe next month" "They're talking about November" Although the current schedule has moved some classes up from January into mid December already, so if they add any more, early December/late November is a very rough guesstimate. Again speculation.

Is anyone on here currently in the "rolling zoom class"? If so how many students are currently in the class and do you have a in-person class date for OKC?

I'm currently in the phase 3 of online en route (the rolling zoom class). There's currently sixteen of us in the class though that number has varied from 8-24 as classes came and left. Eight of us have a late October date.

Thanks for the info I am sure it will be helpful to some. I should've specified Terminal. lol

I'm in the terminal rolling review class. We just had people leave for a class last week, and I think there's about 30 people currently split between 2 sessions.
I believe they're going to have us start reporting to the academy end of month and a new academy class roughly every week as it currently stands.

Do you guys have class dates? we finished basics in Sept and were told Jan and March.

Think it's for funding?
I doubt it, the FAA keeps moving classes around every couple of weeks. My original date got pushed back 6 weeks for some unknown reason but looks like they've started to add more classes. Rumor is that they want to finish up all zoom classes by the end of January so chances are that his class may have been pushed up sooner.

how much notice did they give you?

They haven't yet, my class is scheduled for the end of November now. They've been sending out welcome packets about a week before your date but you can find out your new date prior to that from someone in HR who has the info for class placements

Maybe she gave me the wrong date, my email says Jan 25
No I think there’s a date for en route Jan 25. Have they sent you an FOL, or formal offer letter yet? I think in there it’ll tell you your onboarding date. I just inquired about mine and she said 1/15 “virtual” which means the onboarding

Not yet she's still working on it but I did accept it already, and apparently my drug test expired so I'm waiting for instructions to schedule another one.

I just checked the FAA course catalog, that shows an en route basics class starting on 1/15 (my onboarding date) which is for my 1/19 class, and the next one is 1/22, so I’m guessing that will be your onboarding date, with your basics class to start on 1/25.
