It’s going to be the biggest shutdown ever. Yuge I tell you. The best one yet. They said we couldn’t do it but look at what we accomplished
Lawmakers/politicians aren’t stupid(as hard as that may be to believe), they are keenly aware of the amount of fuckery that they can get away with. Shutting the govt down after literally not doing shit for 6 months is a bridge too far for even them.
I think that the law is huge too. Employees get back paid no matter what. Now nobody wants a shutdown all the sudden.Lawmakers/politicians aren’t stupid(as hard as that may be to believe), they are keenly aware of the amount of fuckery that they can get away with. I think after the holidays someone, somewhere will say "HEY! Some are already in the building...might as well start OJT ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"Now that all trainees are back, what do you guys think happens next?
A - All training resumes
B - We wait for gating criteria as planned
C - Everyone is sent back home
D - Furloughs
Not all trainees are back. Anyone without a current certification is still on EA which is hundreds of trainees. Now that all trainees are back, what do you guys think happens next?

Agreed. I bet it happens within a week though.I think after the holidays someone, somewhere will say "HEY! Some are already in the building...might as well start OJT ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
There’s no sense bringing trainees back and putting more people at risk to get the virus if we aren’t going to train. If management within the agency had any logic at all I assume trainees would start training. Because of what I just said above, I doubt we start training.Agreed. I bet it happens within a week though.
How many trainees even came back? Most with certs came back in June and are already training. There’s a huge cadre of AGs that still aren’t backThere’s no sense bringing trainees back and putting more people at risk to get the virus if we aren’t going to train. Every D1 and D2 Trainee at my facility was recalled last week. We recertified in July and sat at home until the National recall. AGs are still at homeHow many trainees even came back? Most with certs came back in June and are already training. There’s a huge cadre of AGs that still aren’t back
NoMaybe too early to ask this but, can we get back paid for the 6 months of stop training ? I was cpc-it before rona and now I’m cpc , could have made 10k more
The union has made it quite clear they could care less about how much of a financial impact this whole thing has had on trainees. It’s been said on multiple telecons they aren’t even going to try and fight for back pay. They sure fought like hell for those cushy reduced staffing schedules though.Maybe too early to ask this but, can we get back paid for the 6 months of stop training ? "everyone has delays in their training" and "you should be happy to have a job" come to mind...The union has made it quite clear they could care less about how much of a financial impact this whole thing has had on trainees. So you didn't have anyone up the classroom in March, who lapsed before recerts were allowed? I'm starting to think there are only a handful of people in that boat, I assumed there were hundreds agency wide.Every D1 and D2 Trainee at my facility was recalled last week.
