Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

It sounds like they could be mixing up all kinds of things between you, and this other evil one you speak of. Since different people handle different parts of the process between medical and security etc, they might all be mixing and matching your file and not be aware of it at all.

I mean I guess I hope (?) my stuff is getting mixed up because I again there's no reason THIS David Graham should have not passed the initial security clearance I don't have any skeletons.

Oh jeez, this could turn into a nightmare. David, I sincerely hope you get this straightened out. I'm sure an email to your security POC will shed some light on what's going on

I just shot her off an email explaining the situation I'm hoping for some clarity. It's like every email opens another pandoras box.

Got the same email, reached out to medical POC, then they said we never received your MMPI, when and where did you take it.
I told them I took it 2/9..

Power through man, it's just a paperwork SNAFU. You'll get it done.

Unless I really did fail my security clearance lol...

Which I'd be very surprised of cause I never got any kind of email about it and was told it was good so who knows man time is a flat circle.

How long is it taking from the time the e-qip is submitted until they start reaching out to references? I submitted everything for security on 2/22 and none of my references have been contacted yet

So upon further review I guess my security clearance was denied. Not sure what could have possibly caused it but I'll find out Monday when my security POC comes back.

Apparently ...

Anyone else ever have there security clearance initially denied and what did you have to do to clear it up. I know I can fix whatever the issue is I have no financial problems or anything so idk.

Hopefully someone will have a better answer. You may just be stuck for the long haul if they decide to do a full investigation on you. Will take several months. Sorry :(

It was denied they will absolutely do a full investigation either way... Even if it was denied due to having the same name as someone else. I would imagine you are now in for the long haul.

Several months...? Well that's some ass. I literally have NOTHING to hide I don't understand.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but now you'll be waiting for the full security clearance to complete. I've heard that process can take upwards of a year. Not a good outcome for sure, hopefully it's all just a mistake and you can avoid that nightmare.

I'm coming up on a year and my investigation is still not complete.

Obviously I have to wait until Monday maybe it's just a misunderstanding but this has the potential to turn into a nightmare. how could the 9-agl email tell me everything is cleared and then I find out the opposite where is the disconnect.

I'm almost 25, clean record, no debt, no loans, credit score of 760, good references, I have a very straightforward background that should have had zero red flags. What kind of red flags other than what I mentioned I know I'm good on could there possibly be? This is really frustrating..

My current manager also filled out the form he got in the mail and gave me a good review and filled out the "yes" for if he thinks I should get a clearance.

Sorry for the rant not trying to hijack the thread I just went from expecting a call for a class date any day now to potentially finding out it could be 2019 and I'm still waiting. Just trying to wrap my head around it all.

Not at all. There has to be someone here with pull who can help this guy out, it's almost certainly a case of someone else with the same name causing the confusion. Then again, it's national security we're talking about here. I feel for you man.

EDIT: The good news, what there is of it, is that you're a couple years younger than some of us, so at least you have time on your side.
