I would venture to say you're probably the first. I'm tier 2, but got all my CIL stuff much later than most people. I'm also a veteran which means they made me submit a request for my personnel records which lengthens the process a few months more on top of an already lengthy process. Congrats on getting completed though! I'm sure you'll have a date soon.

So there's 377 Tier 1 people from 2016 that have not received an FOL, and have also not been disqualified?

Apparently, i'm one of those 371 from 2017. I'm not sure if I should feel encouraged or disheartened. I haven't been notified of Tier 2, or disqualification, or really anything other that my file is awaiting flight surgeon review.

I wonder how many of those 2016 kids don't frequent the forum and have forgotten about this entirely, until years later a call from the FAA is giving them a clas date and they go " wait what? that was YEARS ago".

You can email your medical poc to see if you passed your MMPI at least.

Got the email today that my tier 2 is finally over with. I just need to send in another drug test and I’ll be all good.

Anyone that’s done this before know how long it’ll take for the drug test and everything to get cleared? Ready for the academy already!

It took them less than a week to offer me a class date after my drug test.

Are you a veteran? I'm going to assume you aren't since you didn't mention anything about personnel records.

Also, who and how did you speak to find out about the 45 day thing?

No, I’m not a veteran. And it was Medical personnel I’ve been in contact with after being told I was Tier 2. He had reached out to me and explained what was to happen next.

How long did your process take? What region are you in? I am “suppose” to be contacted with an evaluator within the next 2 weeks.

-Mmpi - early February
-Notified tier 2 - early March
-Tier 2 appointment scheduled- late June
-Tier 2 evaluation - July 10th
Still awaiting the FOL. I’m in southeast region.

Same here. Finished Medical April 10. Was sent a request for extra medical docs May 22 (VA disability rating, driving record, military medical docs etc.) which I submitted June 1. The waiting game continues.

Just heard back from the NW mountain rep. The FS is requesting a personal statement from some medication I took in high school as well as an eye exam. Which is weird cause I have 20/15 vision. Anyone have experience with how long it takes after the additional info is submitted?

It’s SL, she’s the ATC rep for the NW mountain region so I’m pretty sure she’s yours as Well. If you call they’ll transfer you to her
