Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

Emailed POC regarding a question I had. Then was told my conditional clearance was granted. Neither of my current/past employer have received a form or anything yet to fill out. So I’m not sure if everybody gets forms sent or only some.
Thats a gigantic relief

Conditional security clearance as of 2/13, and found out I was medically cleared today 2/23. Finished all CIL requirements on 2/16, so hopefully not too long from here.

How did you find out you cleared medical already? Was that from the regional flight surgeon?

Initially emailed the 9-AVL regarding MMPI results because I took that back in January, and they said they received my completed file today and I was cleared. Not exactly sure if it was at the regional office or not. I’m just excited I wasn’t a T-2.

What exactly did you email the 9_avl email address? I figure its worth the 20 seconds to craft the email and see if they respond similarly to me.

I thought the same thing. It only takes about 30 seconds to send it, so I just gave it a shot not expecting a reply. I just asked if they had received any information regarding my MMPI results or my medical appointment. They emailed me back the following day.

You're telling me it took only a week for medical clearance...

Who knows. I asked about MMPI results and my physical. I got a short, quick reply that it cleared. It could have just been MMPI or both. I don’t know. They didn’t specify. Regardless, I’m not a T-2, and that’s the best news I’ve heard thus far.

They just replied to me 8 minutes after I emailed them saying MMPI cleared and Medical is in final review with Flight Surgeon. Time for everyone to flood them with questions about their own MMPI results!

What medical region are you in?

Lol don't tell this to the boys over at SM, they will call you a liar and tell you that you're out of your mind. No matter how I hard I tried, they wouldn't believe me that clearances could transfer over. And that's about when I stopped visiting in over there.
This is the one thing that I have constantly heard go back and forth. " clearance will transfer...it won't....it will". I'm still waiting on my EODS and everything after that and there are people that have completed everything already. Hopefully I can skip some of the line with having a current clearance already.

Uh I live in Virginia, so whatever that one is

It will be part of your medical POC email...that 9-AXX whatever. For instance, AGL = Area Great Lakes and so on. Only reason I ask is because some regions are notoriously slow and some are better

I’m in the southwest region and mine says AGL. Not sure if what you’re saying is accurate.

I've heard it's not always processed in the same region that you have your medical appointment completed in. With that said, that is from just reading on the forums, I have nothing to back that up.

I did my medical in the Great Lakes Region and I was cleared in the Great Lakes Region 3 months after my medical appointment.

This is weird cause both me and another person I know have AGL and we are no where near the Great Lakes

Since they are backed up processing both applicants medicals and current controllers medicals, other regions will process applicants to help with the workload.
