Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I called HR, I dont have an ATSA email yet but they said I will be getting one sometime in the next couple weeks. Seems weird they send emails out in batches, but If you havent gotten an email yet i wouldn't worry.

We’re on the same boat. Better late then never!

Just got the ATSA schedule email as well. I already tested (and passed) in November of 2016. Aviation Careers said I don't need to do anything and that they will automatically accept my previous score. Can anyone here confirm this?

They’ll accept it, but if you didn’t get selected then you should test again to get a higher score.

Hey, will the guys at AV Careers be able to tell you exactly how you scored back in 2016? I'm figuring I could probably waive the ATSA if I had scored something above 90. I was told that whatever you score on this ATSA is the score that will be accepted regardless of how you did in 2016.

Yeah they'll tell you... Just gotta call and ask em.... ?

Haven't gotten the email yet (assuming I'm not disqualified).

If you got the email, has your status on usajobs changed from received (if it hasn't changed before today)?

Nah, it still say recieved on my end. someone on stuckmic said though,

"Don’t bang your heads against the wall over a timeline you can’t change. Food for thought. I’ve already received my start date and FOL. My USAjobs profile still says referred. It’s said referred since 3 weeks after I applied. Just because it’s not updated, doesn’t mean that things aren’t moving forward in your process."

Lol if you scored a 90 you would have been hired last time.

Who besides Aviation Careers do you want to confirm it?!? If you took the ATSA previously and weren't hired it's because your score wasn't high enough. Take the test again.

No email here, but I did call HR a while ago just to check (yes, yes, impatient, I know) and they said I qualified for the test so I'm still hopeful. Out of curiosity, and I know they're probably doing it randomly, have people who got an email had last names mostly in the beginning of the alphabet or no? I'm around 3/4 of the way through.

Did you confirm that they have the correct email address?

It is not done alphabetically

Nah, I'm toward the end so its not alphabetical. People have said in other threads though to check your spam folder, they sometimes get sent to that.

Does anyone know if we're allowed to take the ATSA once per bid or once per year? I took the ATSA this month for the N90 bid and I've gotten an email to schedule the test for this bid. I'm wondering if I'll be allowed to take it again so soon or if I was sent the invite by mistake. Thanks.

I’ve noticed a few people asking about retesting. I took it in 2016 and didn’t get a TOL. Retook it in 2017, got a TOL and, have already graduated the academy. My advice is if you have taken it before and didn’t get selected absolutely retake the ATSA.

Took the ATSA last month for the N90 bid. Just got an email today about taking it again for this bid. Any advice? Should I take it again or should I call HR about it? Thanks

You can take it more than once per year. I took it twice last year, once in November for ATC and once in December for FSS.

Can anyone give me an idea on what would be given for the aptitude test? is it hard? does it really consist of general knowledge? do I need to buy prep ?
