Just got my start date and I’m kind of freaking out because of how close it is. En route. Does anyone have any advice on how to word it exactly to ask for an extension of time so I can move everything and let my job know I’ll be leaving? Thank you in advance for any words of wisdom!

Wow the guy who got one yesterday also had AN and he was in the PNW. So either there are two with the same initials or it’s not region specific. I also have AN so hopefully I’m right behind ya!

Wow, all of my dates are earlier than yours but I have this background phone interview for the 25th. Congrats! Also to be honest I am kind of hoping for a terminal class.
For some reason I thought LASIK was disqualifying too, but if it’s not I may have to look into that.

Perspecta is a company that does personal interviews for the NBIB. (Side note, I looked them up out of curiosity and it seems like they call their investigators 1099 contractors, kind of scummy.) Mine called me to set up an in-person interview just to go over the SF-86, then called back and said actually for this type of investigation they could do it over the phone. I did it in person anyway because I had some documents I wanted to give them.

Not at all but make sure to look up the regulations on it.
Mine are all earlier too and I have yet to hear anything. Maybe it is down to the POC's hustle cause I haven't had anyone call about any interviews and I wasn't tier 2'ed. ?♀️
Or maybe I'll hear tomorrow. Who even knows tbh

I know I’m getting ahead of myself but the cheap rent/ nice houses of the Forth Worth,Texas area for ZFW have me amazed. Is ZFW a hard bid to get straight out of academy?

Someone had said before that ZFW and ZHU are often the first ones off the list because of the pay/cost of living.
