Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Ho
What do you think? Would it be ok to still be employed, but not working, by an airline while in the academy? I don't plan of failing the academy, but if that happens I don't want to lose my 9 years of seniority and pay at my previous job.
how would you do that ? Like take a leave of absence or what ?

Hey guys I know it was mentioned earlier and I can't find it on the site, but does anyone know if the FAA pays for your flight TO OKC?

Of course. Don’t book the airfare yourself, you’ll go through their travel agent and they’ll bill the FAA directly. You’ll also be reimbursed for Uber’s to and from the airport, as well as two checked bags.

See updated signature—got the call (and FOL) from CG earlier this afternoon. Terminal Basics 4/10/2019. I'm super surprised that it happened so quickly, I only had my BI interview last week and as I mentioned earlier I don't think I would have gotten a conditional.

Freaking out a fair bit because it's super soon and my girlfriend still has another year of school here. At least I heard before we re-signed our June-May lease... but she'll still need a place to live... ugh. The call was three hours ago and my adrenaline is still elevated.

Congrats! I was hoping for that same class. Who knows, maybe I'll see you there!

Did they ask for documents during your physical ?
My AME said everything looked good on their end, but the FS has the final say. I got an email from someone at the aerospace medicine division about a week and a half after my medical appt asking for my full VA medical records. They would not accept the ones I could produce from myhealthevet. They emailed me again recently asking the status and specifying needing my treatment records. Needless to say, but my stress levels have risen haha. Hopefully it all goes well. Congrats to everyone getting dates. Definitely awesome pacing this bid.

I had the same thing minus asking about an update.

Ah damn so there's still a chance I failed the MMPI :/

I thought I was in the clear.
I think they can still tell you. The person from the aerospace medical division stated that I cleared the MMPI. They still need my records from the VA to fully clear my medical.

If y’all want to know the results of your mmpi, best thing to do is to get in contact with your medical POC

I'm not doing medical until Monday, I was just curious about a general timeline. My HR POC is CG and they didn't give a reason why, just told me that's how long it would be.

I also have my medical on Monday and my POC is CG. Drug test on Wednesday. Good luck!
