Hey all, just had a question regarding the hiring/selection process for this position. I took the ATSA and know I passed since I was referred, I’m pool 1 since I’m a vet but don’t have a TOL yet. As far as selection goes, how long is my application actually good for? Does it expire when another bid is posted or is it essentially good for a while? If it expires when a new bid is posted, is my best advice to just retake the test and again hope for a TOL? I feel like since they want to hire 1500ish people a year and they had around 2500 people take the ATSA and pass that I have over a 50/50 chance but that’s just my thought.

Yes it will expire when another bud opens. Yes if you don't get a TOL you should retest. Not all 1500 hired per year (assuming they met the hiring goal) are from the OTS bid so your percentage is lower.

Sweet, thanks for the quick response. To expand on that now, should a new OTS bid come out in January/February like others have mentioned, that would then void my app correct?

I slept like a baby the night before my first 2. I actually slept worse the second night, even though i only needed a 5 to pass.
It’s the fact that there’s no buffer after that eval that kills everyone I think. It’s a 5 or go home you aren’t able to make up points anymore.

Yeah that sounds about right honestly. I read the weather wrong TWICE and missed out on passing the first day because of it. Thought about it allll night lol

Does anyone know of a list of medical conditions that would make you ineligible, like a governing document or something?
