Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

While I agree it is outrageous, you have to understand the government is not actually open yet. Trump still has to sign the bill, which was passed by both the house and senate. And of course tomorrow is the weekend.

Now, HR should be back at work at 8am Central time Monday. If you haven't gotten your confirmation email by 9, then I would call them, email them, fax them, and get in touch with your Congresscritter to complain. That seems justified.

I was one that was referred but didn't get a TOL before the shutdown. Still holding out hope that they will send another wave after the gov is opened back up but not really expecting it tbh. Definitely looking out for this apparent new bid in Jan/Feb?? Is there any way I can be alerted to it if/when its posted?? I vaguely remember some feature on USAJobs in the past allowing you to receive an email when a specific job was posted, but can't find any such option now that I actually want to use it.

Someone else may have an easier option but what I usually do is go to USAjobs.gov, type in 2152 (ATC job series), then at the top of the page above the job posting it'll say "Save this search: we'll email you when jobs become available" or something similar.

I'm in the same exact boat as you so I plan on just going on the site daily and checking :D

Of those who did receive a TOL, did anyone get confirmation of them receiving your completed forms? I returned mine within about an hour and did not hear back. I know HR is going to be slammed for the next three weeks, but I'm still holding out hope for my CIL soon.

The Government shutdown almost immediately after we got our TOL's, so I would not hold out for getting a confirmation receipt anytime soon. Maybe we will get a message about receipt of our acceptances / denials before the temporary open is over, and maybe we won't.

Either way if you accepted your TOL you'll eventually get the CIL email. It takes a while and bugging HR will drag the process on longer, hard to do but be patient, it will take a little while longer for everything to start back up.

Does your status on the FAA jobs website change from "referred" if you got a TOL? Also, what is the email address used to send out TOL? I want to search my email just incase I missed mine before the shutdown happened.

Hopeful that I'll get a TOL next week now that the government has re-opened.

Would just be nice if the FAA would allow you to see your ATSA score. If I knew I only got a 75, I wouldn't constantly be thinking about getting a TOL vs getting a 90 and being more confident :D

Don't hold your breath. CILs come out a handful at a time to avoid overloading the clearance investigators (medical and background).

From what I've seen people post on the other hiring threads this is not guaranteed.
If you accepted a TOL. You will get a cil. It's how you get clearance to start the background check, medical, mmpi. Getting a FOL is NOT guaranteed.

Obviously a FOL isn't guaranteed, especially if the clearance checks aren't favorable, but I thought I saw people saying that even the CIL isn't a sure thing (needs of the FAA, etc, etc). I could be misremembering.

A CIL is for sure if you accepted you TOL. A FOL is for sure if you pass everything in your CIL. if you get a TOL the only thing that would prevent you from getting a class date is you.

I was going to say, not sure where that's being said buts it is most definitely a for sure thing if you accepted your TOL. It's literally just the instructions to complete your medical and security information, nothing fancy or crazy, some people may have let it go into a junk folder so be wary of that.

Hey can y’all post something when you get a receipt confirmation on the TOL paperwork you sent in? I’d like to know they at least got my stuff...understand that there’s a back log and all but you know.

If I get a receipt, I shall. But being that they barely opened an hour and a half ago, im not expecting any results till the end of the week or longer.
