Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Quick question, at Kim's do you share the dwelling with others?
1 roommate in a 4 br house and your housing per diem covers everything, plus they have shuttle pick up. This helps you save your food/incidentals. Best thing to do is figure out who your classmates are gonna be and try to get somewhere together. It makes things a lot easier. We had 1 guy staying at anatole and he switched right away so he could be here at kims with us

So you pocket like $30/per day by staying at Kim's?
Yes, everywhere else with the exception of one other place can’t remember who’s the provider. You’re responsible for your own food, meaning you’re spending your food pier diem.

Housing per diem is use it or lose it now, so definitely pick the best place possible. You don’t pocket any extra cash staying at one place over another now.

Several of the housing providers maintain listings in the resources section. You can post in those threads or message them for information.

They take all your housing pier diem, not incidentals.

Happy New Year!
HR contacted me yesterday with start date 3/11 En Route! July 2018 bid here.

Awesome, congratulations. Be seeing you there! There's a thread created for that class and a few of us have already posted:

Just wondering if I may be the last person from this bid 07/29/2018?

In order of when I completed each step.
TOL 12/21/2018
MMPI-2 02/15/2019
Drug Test 02/21/2019
Security Clearance 03/07/2019
Medical 03/08/2019

I am scheduled for a Tier 2 on Nov 2nd, 2020.
Is there anything I should know about a Tier 2. I was told it would be about 4 hours and more tests.

Couple of questions, just got a TOL last week from the 2018 bid. Going on 33 years old. HR says everything is on hold (Covid) until all requirements are open. What’s a Tier 2? Anyone else get a TOL last week? How long have you (who got all the way through) been waiting from when you got your TOL to when you got your academy date?
