Just looking at options and seeing what’s truly out there. Spouse has bad medical condition and I’m sole caretaker. The schedule we have makes it difficult for me to help out and honestly it tears me down. Hardship doesn’t really apply to me here. I’m at the facility I want to be at which I’m incredibly grateful for. I’ve had Fri/Sat off during training and it was still tough. I’m aware of staff support and such which I will actively apply to but I need other options too. I would appreciate any insight.

There are a lot of headquarters jobs you could qualify for without any supervisory experience but they're only in a few select locations. More opportunities if you would live in DC or Seattle.

You could talk to your ATM about availability of in-house positions and they could put a job bid out for staff support, training specialist, tmc, etc. if they are below numbers (most facilities are). Also you could talk to your sup or ATM about FMLA or advance sick leave if you're running low. Also possible to get in the leave donation program if you see this extinguishing all of those resources.

Hope you work out a better situation and get some help.

My facility has had a training specialist in the past. Maybe that’s something I could pursue. Do you know where I can read up on that role? Tbh I don’t care about the loss of good time or less pension. Need to just make things right
