Medical Can we have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) without being medically down?

I'd like to try it for a dental operation instead of injections but I'm not sure if that would be cause to pull medical even temporarily.

I’ve called the flight doc and asked this. They said no it doesn’t down you. It’s up to you if you feel able to work after. It usually wears off within a reasonable amount of time. However, I did have one time it last four several hours and I ended up calling in sick.
