I usually don’t “cross the streams” but anyone here interested in the election needs to go to Reddit ATC2. Crazy but legitimate confirmed leaking. And more dropping tomorrow morning I hear. You need to see this before you vote, these people are not who we thought they are.

Well the NEB has to confirm everyone. Then the president proposes removal and the NEB votes yes or no. The A114s who came out aggressive against Rich are realizing the NEB doesn’t have the nick vote anymore so they’re panicking they’ll lose their position for shitting on rich for a year

Rich deserves criticism for the current state of the Union. Not saying that, just saying it appears the majority of 114s teamed up with NDJH and are now panicking that Santa will win after the endorsements from JD and MR.
Santa needs more turnout from regular controllers but they are too busy working 6 days a week and the rattler to remember to vote
The skepticism (I think) comes from current leadership. It’s like at the DNC everyone kept talking about fixing this, and fixing that when democrats have been in office for the last 4 years. Same with Santa he’a been there for 4 years and this is where it’s at. How do we differentiate action with campaign rhetoric? LennyA21 maybe you can give me an answer too.
So, I will give it a go and what partly moved me the direction I went. You had 4 candidates before last November, (who technically were not candidates even though they were campaigning as the nomination period hadn't even opened). At that time the campaigns had no real message about our "membership" and it was the same old messages. JD and I, came into the race and started speaking up for the membership, then the messages from the candidates began changing.
How do we differentiate action with campaign rhetoric?
You can't, all you can do is look back through the campaigns and watch the messages from start to now, see who and when individual candidates began listening to the message and pivoting to want to change because they recognized how much trouble our Union is in. For me, the choice was Rich and Mick.
What can we do after the elections regardless of who gets elected?
Never be afraid again, the Rinaldi years forced people into fear of speaking up or against these people. That is why we are in the position we are in; it became a workforce versus removed representatives that downplayed our issues for years. They forgot where they came from, what it was like and didn't continue to move the ball forward. THAT IS EVERY SINGLE NEB MEMBER for the past decade and national reps fault up to this point.
That said, I see Rich and Mick and several other NEB members acknowledging these issues and wanting to make the change, I see them recognizing that if they don't it could very well be the end of the Union within a few years and that's why I am backing them. They don't surround themselves with some of the historical people that caused us to get to where we are or silenced the members.
As a membership we have to hold our leaders accountable regardless of who gets elected and if they don't do the job we ensure they never get the opportunity to remain in it again. While JD, nor I have any intention of doing this again and hopefully will be retired, if the Union is around next election cycle and our elected people are not doing what they are supposed to be, either one of us will help ANY member set up a campaign and unseat the problem.

Republicans control the house, and as such are the ones who bring bills up for vote. The idiotic hyper partisan state of the country means one party has to control both parts of congress and the presidency to pass anything that the other party even mildly opposes.

Reading the messages coming from the NDJH side group chat is a bit crazy tbh.
I didn't say they are over, I said, never be afraid again and speak up! and his pay was $240k in 2022, dropped to $180K in 2023 and I anticipate after this year depending on who is elected that drops to $0 unless a value can be shown to the membership. It would appear he worked himself out a "golden parachute" and this election highlighted it.
That said, it certainly seems like the Rinaldi fans (Jim, Alex, Trish, etc.) line up behind NDJH pretty well now doesn't it, but you already know that.
