A fellow apple enjoyer. Why are we not recruiting rough and tough janitors who solve math equations on a chalk board at MIT?
Been saying this forever. We have a massive aviation community up here and I regularly talk to people that want to work but they have a 50/50 shot at just ending up enroute. Not to mention the waiting around for security and medical. Why can the ATM not tag people for a facility before OKC If they apply directly to the ATM.I disagree. No matter how black hole of a town you think it is there are real people that are from that area and want to live there.
I think it was probably taken away cus of nepotism. But they should allow it at 9 or below.Been saying this forever. Prior experience applicants can do this now. They made an announcement earlier this month in regards to this, they just call the ATM and send in their experience/resume and the ATM can hire them directly(?). Only issue right now, almost all the ATM's wernt aware about this announcement and theres no procedure in hiring them through this way, but its a start.Been saying this forever. Is there anyway to find where that is stated to show an ATM?Prior experience applicants can do this now. Military exp only I think for what’s being discussed. Not randos off the streetIs there anyway to find where that is stated to show an ATM?
Yeah that's what I was gathering. Still trying to find it in writing somewhere to show an ATMMilitary exp only I think for what’s being discussed. Not randos off the street
Ok... What about military experience folk who have been stuck at their 4/5 forever. There's tons of them.Military exp only I think for what’s being discussed. Not randos off the street
They don’t care about you once you’re hired.Ok... What about military experience folk who have been stuck at their 4/5 forever. There's tons of them.
You already have a job? Should they hire you twice ?Ok... What about military experience folk who have been stuck at their 4/5 forever. There's tons of them.

I'm not talking about myself, brother, I'm talking about the folks who have years upon years requested errs to locations that are now getting filled by less than a year separated airman who have the exact same or less qualifications. Some guy works 6 decent AF bases, gets sent to Mansfield Ohio and can't leave then meanwhile some guy who happened to have been at one decent base gets offered the MFD guys top 6 dream facilities. You already have a job? Should they hire you twice ?
Look, I love that they are making it better for new hires, but why is Jamaal heading this up? Isn't he training and academy? I also saw his name on the NCEPT panel a lot. Do we not have someone working on that end? Also, I find it hilarious that these are the "hard to staff facilities"It was stated in the same announcement I think about the bonus for new hires. Also these View attachment 10113View attachment 10114
Even better MWH will probably never release again because we went from 13 to 18 CPCs to release. We have 14 right now and run 45 minute breaks. If we ever hit even 16 CPCs, we would need new positions to place people at. You should see management try and find places to put people now.Look, I love that they are making it better for new hires, but why is Jamaal heading this up? Isn't he training and academy? L30 - 14 ERRs in
D10 - 22 ERRs in
NCT - 15 ERRs in
TPA - 15 ERRs in
F11 - 13 ERRs in
GFK - 1 (I'll give them that one, lvl 9 in the middle of nowhere must be fun)
F11 is number 47 in the country when you compare inbound ERR requests against every facility.
"Hard to staff" really just sounds like "failure to staff". There is clearly a demand for all but one of these facilities, and now CPC's who have been trying to get there are going to watch people jump them without any certification or time in the agency to prove they can make it. The timing of absolutely crippling movement and giving AG's bonuses and picking wherever they want to go along with military now getting bonuses and priority locations is something else.
I see why multiple people I know are looking for contract towers and other country ATC programs at this time. This recruitment initiative is absolutely demoralizing the workforce that has been putting in the time and effort while being underpaid, overworked, and not accurately represented in the media.
Like a 5k bonus for graduating the academy was going to change anything for their success rate...
Also, how does Boeing Field (BFI) get a 5k bonus for going there and Grant County Tower (MWH) get nothing? BFI is a dream spot for a first facility and MWH has released like 3 people in 8 years and constantly in a staffing shortage. Like, who thought of this stuff? Was nobody asked if this was a good idea? I could go on but I'll stop.

You are just a cunt on this message board at all times.
This is something I spit a lot....but in the agency doing the opposite is important.Look, I love that they are making it better for new hires, but why is Jamaal heading this up?
