From what I can conclude from other posts, it seems like everyone is getting to different stages at different times, so it’s hard to give a set timeline on the process. I’m reassuring myself that as long as I got that TOL, I’m set. We’re all in the same boat, sitting around waiting for an email.
Save your money. People arriving now aren’t scheduled for class til 2020 so you’ll be on AG pay for a looooong time.
And a heads up for y’all that aren’t familiar with how the People’s Republic of NY works, when you go to rent an apartment, 90% of the time the renter is responsible for paying a broker fee. This is equal to 1 months rent and is non refundable. So if you are going to rent an apartment that is $2000/mo, you’ll need first month, security, and broker fee for a total of $6000 down.
Also if anyone wants to buy, my wife is a realtor.
He's talking about specific area classes at N90, not the Academy. I'll hopefully finish at the academy and start at N90 in July of 2019, but from what DV is saying, I'll likely sit around working Flight Data for a year or more before I even get to start training on any sectors.
Ohhh I see, thanks. I knew it would be a while to make CPC and many people wash out, but I always assumed that process began as soon as you arrive. Guess I'm looking at flight data for a while as well.
And good luck at the academy, still waiting to take my MMPI but the rest of my CIL is done, maybe I'll see you there
Can someone explain the process of arriving at the facility as an AG and the transition through the ranks of D1 D2 D3 and CPC. So these people without class dates at N90 they will be working as Flight Data for one year at AG pay? Then when they get to class are their checkpoints which will clarify the ranks of D1 D2 and D3? Theres a lot of info on here about the academy and hiring process but not much about the training process at the facility.
