Gotcha. I have DF as an HR contact, and tbh she's awesome. I've asked her about 4,000 questions and she's answered every single one. She's been great through this whole process, even with me telling her I had like 300 days left on active duty when I got my TOL. Is there some sort of generic HR number other than the direct line I have to DF? I just feel like I'm bothering her at this point, and lord knows she has other applicants to deal with besides me.
If she has been as good as you say, just ask her to notify you once you get cleared or just email her every other week just to check in. She definitely has other applicants to work with, but as long as you aren’t “annoying” and she has been helpful, she will answer your questions.
DF is great. I had no complaints with her going through my process.
I didn’t find out at all until I got the offer to JCF. Also didn’t care to find out since I still have/had a while in the military.
Understandable, I should have mentioned I did in fact reach out to my HR rep to check on my clearance.

ELP number 1 eh? The rep where I am at says ELP is a good facility, just not many people want to live there.

Also how long have u guys been cleared/ only waiting on facility placement?
My number 1 lol and I heard bad things but I heard the local area is nice and extremely affordable. The only issue is I don’t have a radar ticket so I don’t know what the chances are of me going there or not.
Cleared in early January and same with facility placement, the ATO told me that I had to wait a month prior to my terminal to receive my list.
Oh shoot what were the bad things? I’ve been in contact w/ one person who works there and he didn’t give me any bad vibes or say the culture was bad. The local area is super nice and housing isn’t too hard to find. That’s the main reason it was my number one also.
I cleared early to mid January.
That is also my understanding of the process.
May I ask when you cleared?
Choosing an up/down facility with tower only experience is fine and will have no impact on if you get that facility. I believe the only stipulation was radar only candidates can’t choose tower only facilities.
They’ll send you to a radar class in OKC before you start radar training
